The following from the Miami Herald will be of interest to old friends in the Tri-Cities and Gene-seo, 111., Mr. Ferry's home before he came to Davenport: Persons who heard the oratorio "Judgment" at Trinity Methodist church, recently, are united In the belief that it will rank with the masterpieces of religious music of the day. Charles T. Ferry of Miami is the composer and Dr. Willis of Garrett, pastor of First Presbyterian church, wrote the Bible continuity.

The oratorio Is at all times melodious, notwithstanding the vein of modernism which appears thmout the entire score. It was presented by 13 prominent soloists of Metropolitan Miami. A contralto aria, "And the Lord Smelled a Sweet Savor," sung by Jessica Re Qua Cole, was an outstanding number, and the forceful solo by Percy C. Long and a duet by Bette Kometh Thornton and Drisklll Wolke, as well as the trio by Mrs. Cole.

L. J. Funke and H. D. Hodgson were among the most exquisite selections.

Of the chorus numbers, "Then Shall Be Great Tribulation" was given with tremendous verve. A departure from the usual oratorio theran minister, the Rev. E. E. Senst.
