Darrell Simmons, 71, of Humboldt were held Wednesday afternoon, November 6, at the Methodist Church in Humboldt, with interment in the Union Cemetery. The Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt was in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Simmons passed away Saturday morning, November 2, at Burbank, California. Services were held at Burbank Monday.

The body arrived in Humboldt late Monday evening. Casket bearers were Walter Christensen, Ben Edge, Clint Tinken, Harold Williams, Otto Naeve, and Ernest Edge. Survivors include a son, Garmon of Fullerton, California: two grandchildren; a brother. A. A.

McKitrick of Humboldt; and a sister, Mrs. Charles Korn of Mesa, Arizona. The former Mearl McKitrick. Mrs. Simmons was born April 28, 1897, on a farm north of Humboldt.

She received her elementary education in Humboldt schools and graduated from the Humboldt high school in 1916. She taught in the rural schools of Humboldt County and in 1919 married Darrell Simmons. The couple farmed in Humboldt County until 1931 when they moved into Dakota City. In 1942, they moved to Burbank, California. Mr.
