Funeral Held for JosephW. Powell Harmony, Oct. 8- Mr. Joseph Wright Powell died' at hiE home in Eagle Mills, township, near Eagle Mills, Tuesday evening, October 4, at 7:80. He had been in declining- health for quite a few months but death came rather unexpectedly, due to a sudden heart attack.

Waldo Weaver, of OHn. His widow by second marriage, who was Mrs. Elizabeth Fink, of Kannapolis, also survive. OMher surviving Relatives include three sisters, Mrs. M.

C. I james, Mocksville; Mrs. Snllie Powell Richardson, Rutherford College; Mrs W. C. Hinshaw, of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Messrs.

Ellis Powell, of Lewiston, Idaho; Prank Powell, of Coolecmee. Tho deceased was a member of New Hope Baptist church. The funeral was held at Rocky Spring Baptist chinch Thursday conducted by the pnstor, Rev. J. N.

Binkley. Interment was in the church cemetery where other members of the family are buried. The flowers were carried by Miss Nannie Powell, Mrs. Sam Tomlin, Mrs. 0.

C. Towel, Misses Evelyn Towel, Sarah Francis Weaver, Bobby Jane Tomlin, Helen Towel and Edith Powell. The pallbearers were Messrs. R. L.
