Saturday Junior quarterback Jack Gehrke engineered a 56-yard drive and scored the winning touchdown from two yards out with 2:43 left in the third period schools happy In fact it does 4 not appear as though Flagstaff -school officials are even trying to make mends While at the campus last week we were asked on three 1 IV occasions by representatives of The visiting redskins twice I care We understand they have also alienated a couple of other Big Sky schools There is one other item against Lumberjacks geography The Idaho and Montana schools figure the conference would be too spread out It would be quite a jaunt from Moscow or Missoula to Flagstaff We don't want to even guess what the Big Sky Conference presidents will dp when expansion votes are taken But if Northern Arizona University has left the same impression with them as it has with us the in lift! stitution hasn't a chance the press and school officials what the chances are of the Lumberjacks getting into the conference -We told them we had no idea This is a matter to be decided Jby the six college presidents And we haven't been able to find out what their thinking is on the issue But from a personal standpoint we weren't too impressed with the institution TAKE SECOND LOOK True they had a real fine football team But there ae other things that should cause conference' officials to take a second look before admitting the school -While aoDarentlv making PAID ADMISSIONS A report from Ben Jewell president of the Pioneer League this week showed that Ogden came from behind EARLY LEAD Halfback Ben a senational end zone grab of a Tom Trovato pass with 2:47 left in the first half to give Oregon a 14-11 lead Reina twice juggled the ball before making a desperation leap But Gehrke running the
