M. King vs. Mrs. N. M.

Vincent, both of Willits. Attorney Swortfiguer, of Willits, appeared for the plaintiff and J. C. Ruddock for The suit grew out of business relations heretofore subsisting between the' parties. Defendant owned a blacksmith shop which plaintiff conducted under a written Contract which prpyidod that he should receive half of all money col- Oiected or taken.in.

There are book accounts in possession, of defendant and plaintiff accounting. After hearing of some testimony the Court referred all questions offactto Court Commissioner Thatcher with jprders to report same to the Court. Wliite Man Turned Yoliow. Great consternation was felt by the friends of M. A.

Hogarty, of Lexington when they saw he was turning yellow. His skin slowly changed color, also his eyes, and he suffered terribly. His malady Yellow Jaundice. He was treated by the best doctors, but without benefit. Then he was advised to try Electiic Bitters, the wondprful Stomach and Liver remedy, and he writes: "After taking two bottles I was wholly cured." A trial proves its matchless merit for all Stomach, Liver and Kidney troubles.

Heeser and about twenty other defendants, several of whom partition of certain lands owned as co-tenants by the plaintiff corporation and Wm.

Heeser. The value involved in the suit is large. The plaintiff asks that one- half of said land be set apart and allotted to.it and the other half to the defendants, according to the respective rights of the parties, quality and quantity being relatively considered. Cougli Remedy Great Favorite a The soothing and healing properties of this remedy, its pleasant taste and prompt and permanent ciu'es have made it a favorite with people everywhere. The groom is an inspector of elevators in San Francisco, for which place the young couple took the train Sunday afternoon. THE DISPATCH tenders congratulations. The ilain. The rain storm which began here Sunday and continued over a part of Monday was general thruput the coast, extending east to the Rocky' mountains.

rFrijit; growers and farmers in-tlie main valleys of this state were warned ot the approach of the storm by rush bulletins, from Weather Forecaster A. G. McAdie, so that lirecautions could bi taken to shelter drying fruitandotherfarm products, but the damage is necessarily coitsiderable. From our own observation under similar circumstances we do not fear any great damage to wheat in as that cereal will stand a rain of at least one and a half inches without damage if rehandled immediately. The principal damage will be to table grapes, figs and beans.

A warm sun following the rain wjll cause grapes and figs tpVcrack ani will; make the bean and lose their contents, besides discoloring the beans themselves, thissection no serious damage will result, as the hops were all under shelter and other crops had been gathered and housed. The record of the Weather Bureau shows that in the past fifty-one years it had only rained twice on Sept. 23d and only four times on Sept, 21st. Monday, Serit. 23d, lOpi.
