(AP) — Retail prices for most beef cuts stopped their climb and pork prices fell this week, according to the Kansas Farm Bureau Shoppers Guide. In its weekly survey of 15 supermarkets across the state, the Farm Bureau said rib steak rose 4 cents to $1.46 per pound. No price change was reflected with blade roast, arm pot roast, t-bone steak, sirloin steak and ground beef. The price of round steak dropped 2 cents to $1.02 a pound. Pork prices fell at least two cents, with one exception. Center cut chops were $1.68 per pound, down 3 cents, pork sirloin roast prices fell 2 cents, to $1.23 a pound. Bacon dropped 5 to 9 cents, down to $1.58 to $1.67 a pound and the price of pork steak plunged 7 cents to $1.16 a pound. A rise was recorded in the price of whole ham, up 1 cent to $1.10. Poultry prices showed no change, with whole fryers remaining at 50 cents a pound and cut-up fryers steady at 58 cents.
