Miss Winifred Holly served punch. The honor guest wore a handsome gown of powder blue, with corsage of roses. S. Eldredge, president, presiding. Details of the Battle of Marianna were told by Miss Charlotte Farley, a native of Marianna, whose relatives were among the GO old men and boys engaged in battle against 1,600 Union soldiers, rnjembers of a raiding party into west Florida during the War Between the States. Mayor R. B.

Gantier gave an interesting address. Personal reminiscences of the war were given by the Confederate soldier guests, who were presented by Mrs. Eldredge. She explained that there arc but six members of Tige Anderson camp, U. C.

left in Dade county. Mrs. Sarah Banks Weaver poet laureate for the Florida division, U. D. read an original poem, Last Command." Dr.

J. L. White gave the invocation. Alfred Goggins, aged negro, who was Gen. Wade Hampton's bodyguard, was introduced.

Any credits earned through the extension courses may he transferred to any college or university in the country.
