Ladies be sure to visit the experimental "Kitchen of Tomorrow, it's a cook's tour of wonderland. are exploding here and there, plots to kill or destroy the Gov-ernment are increasing. Those methods are distasteful to the citizens of Cuba.

The leaders of that group are discredited; but youth in its buoyant insanity is often put in the position to kill or be killed, just to satisfy the hurt pride of the very few so well protected behind their anonymity. It is time to give youth responsibilities in responsible positions, instead of making them fight for an ideal hammered into their heads with tirades of false patriotism, placing in their hands the means to be dangerous: arms and explosives, instead of giving them books and pencils. Once you become part of that adventurous life you cannot settle down to the unglam-orour monotony of the everyday existence, monotony in which lies the secret of happiness and greatness. Those boys cease to be boys when they become obsessed with the sole purpose of destroying a regime. They are the same boys that go from nation to nation offering their service for the glory of democracy.

What do they know of democracy? How can they think in democratic terms when they have destruction as their immediate aim? Let youth go to classes, learn trades or professions and become the men and women 1lwt will make the nation proud in a not too distant tomorrow. Let them lausrh, and love and be young. Let them live for their countrv as good ritizens. Don't teach them to kMl, don't make them kill, don't give them arms. I hone, as all Cuba is honing, that the solution to the national problem will be found in Congress, not in lhoe inef-fnct've, bombs, exploding when a youthful hand lights their fuse.

That is the prayer of the Country: courage and devotion to a flag, the flag that could forever wave peacefully over this beautiful, magnificent insane, small Island of Cuba. BLANCA ESTRELLA Havana, Feb. "5 Over the front door of Mazorra, the public hospital for the insane, you can read in big, bold letters this statement, "No son todos los que estan, ni estan todos los que son" (not everyone here is insane, and a great number of those who are, are not in.) In Spanish that truth is cleverly said. When you are a Latin, and after many years away from your country you come back, you can testify to the Veracity of that statement. Also you may add that many "who are not in" are magnificent, insolent, moody or take any other form that resembles insanity.

Others are just a little touched. In other words, we Latins are crazy and enjoy being crazy. If we like something, we love it to death. If we hate, you can drop dead and it's a pleasure to hear the news. If you are a friend, you gladly give your life, money or material possessions to those you consider with such privilege and so it goes.

It is nice to live in a place where every small thing takes such significance, because In that way you fully enjoy every hour of the day, and every minute of the hour. This state of being has its disadvantages. Youth is easily misled, taken for the proverbial ride by cunning promoters of hatred. Students, in our country are always paying- the nriee of this exuberance of feeling. Cuba, on January 23th, Mar-ti's birthday (Jose Marti is the Father of our country) took the first step towards normality, when Congress once more became the ruling body of the nation.

On February 24th, anniversary of the beginning of the War of Independence, the newly elected President, General Fulgcncio Batista, and vice-president "Felo" Guas In-clan, will be sworn in office.
