Larry Schroeder, the executive secretary of the Miami Automobile Dealers Association, said all Miami dealers knew of the law and were wholly in accord with it. "It is going to protect the buyer against wildcat sellers who rig plans for getting around the finance laws as set by the state," said Schroeder. The law applies to both new and used car dealers. Banks, trust companies and industrial banks authorized to do business in Florida are exempt. The $25 license will be good for the remainder of this year.
