The bishop was fined $64 after the six-day trial, and was ordered to pay the atheist and his family $672 damages. Then the judge suspended the fine. Precedent Set Bishop Pietro Fiordclli was the first churchman of his rank brought to trial in an Italian court since the signing of the Latcran Pacts regulating relations between Italy and the Vatican in 1929. The three Florence judges acquitted the Rev. Danielo Aiazzi, one of Bishop Fiordelli's parish priests, who also was accused of defaming the couple.

Policeman Noel Whitman said Mr. Shearer and his wife, Cor-Inne, admitted the boy had been compelled to make the walk while naked from the waist down as punishment for having a schoolmate's bicycle in his possession. TOLKOWSKY Polk Spouse Indicted In Wife Killing Th AM-lalrl Vrr" BARTOW, March 1 The folk County Grand Jury tonight in dieted Donald Hochbaum, 34, Lakeland beer salesman, for sec ond degree murder in the stran gulation death of his wife, Mrs. Norma Jean Hochbaum, 32. Mrs. Hochbaum disappeared shortly after midnight Feb. 15 from a dance in Lakeland.

Her body was found two days later, a scarf tightly wound around her throat. Hochbaum was in the court room when the jury brought in its report. He stood open-mouthed in apparent surprise as the indictment was read. Circuit Judge Don Register set bond at $10,000 and ordered the case transferred to Criminal Court for trial. Youth Finds Dynamite A 15-yoar-old Miami boy was praised by Miami police yesterday for promptly reporting the discovery of 123 sticks of dynamite in a Northwest section vacant lot.

The youth, Larry Money, 1762 NW 2i told Lt. A. E. Wood that he did not attempt to disturb the cache when he found it at NW 17th Avenue and 23th Street. A Marine Corps demolition crew was called.

ROHERTS Rrpnrtrr of Th Miami Nrna Miami's reserve Navy and Marine pilots were cheered yesterday by a visit with their bosses, who assured them the reserve program will continue here despite the shutdown of the Marine Air Station. "Actually," explained Adm. Howard Caldwell, "the Navy will have to expand its facilities to take over the 'housekeeping' chores now performed by the Marines." Such chores include field maintenance, flight control and supply runs to other bases.

"As far as we can see now there certainly will be no reduction in the reserve program here," said the chief of Naval Reserve Training, whose headquarters are in Glenview, 111. Reservists Assured "The same thing goes for the Marine reserve program," said Gen. Frank C. Croft, who heads the Marine reserve program. Both men visited Miami to inspect facilities at Opa-locka and to assure reservists the reserve flight program will continue.
