He immigrated to this country as a child and proudly later fought to defend his new country in the Vietnam War serving as a paratrooper. After retiring from active duty in the U.S. Army he served his country in the in the Army National Guard until his retirement in 1991. Bog was an award-winning rifleman for the Guard.

He worked for Kingery Construction until he took his most recent position as a general mechanic for the United States Post Office. His greatest loves were his God, his family and his countless friends. His passions were hunting and fishing.
