Lee, 70, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Michael was born on October 12, 1943 in Decatur the son of James and Opal (Warnick) Lee.

He had worked as a store manager for Firestone. In High School he was an all-state football player and was a musician who won many a wards. He was a He played the Saxophone with several bands including the Decatur Rhythm Blues Band and the Surviving are his sons, Gregory Lee (Deborah) of Stoughton, WI; Matthew Lee of Mt. Zion; daughters, Trisha Thompson of Memphis, TN; Crystal Lee of New Jersey; Kim Smith of Oreana; Pam Carrol of Southern IL; Michelle Foster of Mt. Zion; step-daughter Adrian Potter; brother Richard Lee (Sharon) of Decatur; sister, Linda Yoder (David) of Aubrey, TX; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Services to celebrate life will be 10 AM Saturday May 31, 2014 in Moran Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery at a later date.

Lee was born August 17, 1942, in Blue Mound, IL, son of George Everett and Glyde Ella Calloway Johnson Sr. He was medically discharged from the U.S. Army in 1967. He was a Truck Driver for Preston Trucking, and a 32 year member of Teamsters International. Lee spent time at the River Rat Club and enjoyed shooting pool.

He was a member of the Argenta, IL, Masonic Lodge, Ansar of Springfield, IL, Loyal Order of Moose, American Legion Post 0117 of Cerro Gordo, IL, and the River Rats Club. He married Dixie L. Stutes in Champaign, IL, on April 19, 1991. Surviving are his wife; grandsons: Coty and Kyle Johnson; step children: Vicki and Ben England, Paula Durbin, Richard W. Kinney; step grandchildren: Tylena (David) Brand, Jessica, Lacey, Nick, Jenny, Richie; and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Troy, and four brothers. Lee was a great husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be truly missed. Services to celebrate life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at Community Temple Church of God in Christ, 759 Jackson St, Decatur, IL 62521. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Macon County Memorial Park Cemetery. Antoine Dotson was born on June 18th, 1962 in New Madrid, MO. He attended DeVry University in Chicago, IL. Antoine wor ked for ADM as a Chief Operator of which he later retired from. He was an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ and had a great passion for street evangelism.

He was a member of New Hope Temple and Deliverance Center COGIC. Antoine Dotson and Wanda Neal were united in marriage August 31, 1985 in Decatur, IL and they shared 28 wonderful years together. Bradshaw DECATUR Joycelyn K. Bradshaw, 83, of Decatur, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at Heritage Manor in Mt. Zion. She was born February 3, 1931 in Decatur, the daughter of Melvin and Sara (Weakly) Arthur. She was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother.

She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married James O. Bradshaw May 7, 1948 in Vandalia. He preceded her in death May 19, 2001. She leaves behind her children Sharon Deaton, Susan (Rick) Gilman, Sheila Binkle Janet (Larry Williams) Heath, and James (Gina) Bradshaw, twelve grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, two brothers, twin sister, and son- in-law Ron. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services to celebrate life will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Fair lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the ervices at the funeral home.

Brookman DECATUR David Lee Brookman, 67, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. He as born January 18, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the son of John and Bessie Brookman.

He proudly served his country in the USMC in Vietnam. He was previously employed with Wagners retiring with over tw enty-nine years of service. He then became an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He married Betty Hunter April 8, 1978.

She preceded him in death June 5, 2011. He leaves behind his daughters Kimberly (Michael) Wright, Stephanie (Tim Simpson) Brookman, and Patty Witt, grandchildren Melanie Hoffman, Timothy and Matthew Wright, Brittanee Hokenson, Sheila Williams, David and Jar ed Gallahon, Dustin Scroggins, Linsaie Gatons, Emily Compt on, Molly and Cheyenne Wakeland, and Alex Hanstedt, seventeen great-grandchildren with one on the way, brother Robert Brookman, and sisters Doris Jean Haberland, Carol Sue Marques, Mary Lou Rankens, and Ruth Ann Howell. He as reunited in Heaven with his parents, wife, brothers Don and Jim Brookman, sister Alice Baugh, and son-in-law Randy Witt. Services to celebrate life will be 1 Friday, May 30, 2014 at Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.

ammel DECATUR Kevin Andrew Hammel, 54, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, May 24th at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Ke vin was born December 6, 1959 in Decatur, IL to Richard and Betty Hammel. Kevin worked several jobs in his life. He was a very caring person and loved life. He was a good brother and a good friend to many people.

He will be greatly missed. Kevin leaves behind his girlfriend, Margrett Taylor; brother, Sc ott and girlfriend Judy Love of Decatur, IL; Steve of Decatur, IL; and sister, Penny Hammel of Del Ray Beach, FL. Kevin also has many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by both parents and two brothers. Jo as born on January 1, 1928, in Gettysburg, PA, the daughter of Raymond and Mary Sieber. She married Paul E. Erickson on December 20, 1948, at Phoenix, AZ.

He died on April 3, 2007. She is survived by her five children, Peter Erickson (Ann) of Champaign; Mary Jo Erickson of Champaign; Susan Erickson of Evergreen Park, IL; Phillip Erickson (Denise) of Milwaukee WI; and Carol Erickson (Robert Shafis) of Mount Prospect, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Aurora, Ben, Will, Wesley, Andrew, and Michael. Jo li ved in Decatur from 1960 to 1976. Her husband, the Rev.

Paul E. Erickson, was pastor of First Lutheran Church in Decatur from 1960-1972. Jo was a homemaker for much of that time, and also orked as a reading teacher at McGaughey Elementary School in Mt. Zion. She has liv ed in Champaign-Urbana since 1991.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Grace Lutheran Church, Champaign, with a luncheon to follow. Visit ation with family and friends will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church in Champaign.
