Memorials may be made to the Niantic Christian Church. Richar was born on Jan. 14, 1929 to Frank and Bertha (Eckhart) Montgomery in Norcatur, KS. His mother assed during childbirth to his brother, Ramon. When he was 14 months old, his grandmother, Lucy (Secrest) Eckhart adopted him.

Richard married Mildred (Stahl) Eckhart on July 5, 1953 in Niantic, IL. Richard graduated from Niantic High School in 1946. Richard was a U.S. Army veteran, and achieved the rank of ergeant. He served our country for two years and was stationed in Korea during the Korean conflict.

He was a life long member of the iantic Christian Church where he served as Elder, Deacon, Trustee, President of the oard and sang in the choir. He was a Charter member of the Niantic Civic Club, Long Point Cemetery trustee, and Niantic Township assessor. He also served as Scoutmaster for many years with Boy Scout Troop 91 in Niantic. He worked at the State Bank of Niantic for 48 years, retiring in 1994 as vice- president. Richard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred; children Kevin (Dawn) Eckhart of Kat TX and Craig (Ginny) Eckhart of Riverton, IL; half-sister Phoebe Stutheit of orton, KS and her daughter, Sue Ann; and sister-in-law Marilyn Brown of Walla Walla, WA, along with her daughters Connie and Jerri.

In addition to 7 grandchildren including Tracy Wofford, Emily (Justin) Mabry, Scott (Katie) Eckhart, Zach (Kristen) Eckhart, Jake (Caitlin) Eckhart, Austin Eckhart, Erik Eckhart, and 2 great-grandchildren including Pierson and Addison Wofford. Richard was preceded in death by his brother Ramon Brown. ion, Illinois. Victoria was born on May 17, 1918, in Danville, Illinois, the eldest daughter of Daniel and Stella (Perch man) Cruz. She att ended public school in both Danville and Decatur, afterwards diligently working at Signal Corps Depot and ventually retiring from Industrial Towel Company. She enjoyed shopping and doing Word Search Puzzles. Victoria was a faithful member of the North Jasper Street Church of Christ until her health failed.

She married Hershel J. Simpson, Sr. in 1938, and from that union fi ve children were born. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, daughters: Delores M. (Bennie) Hack; uanita M.

(Stanley) Oldham both of Decatur; and Lolita (Freddie) Richards of Lake Elsinore, California, son: Mitchell L. Simpson of Peoria, Illinois, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 gr eat great grandchildren, sister, Lena Brown of Decatur, and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Hershel J. Simpson, brothers, Theodore Cruz, Tema Cruz, and her sist er, Freda Cruz. In addition, our deepest gratitude to the staff and employees of Heritage Health who took such good care of our mother; Kaycee, our guiding light, Veronica, Angela, Tina, Bri, Gail, NiNi, Erica, Renee, and all the others who helped Mother. Wilma was born on April 22, 1924 in Lakewood, IL, the daughter of Kenneth B.

and Hilda Moreen Specht Plowman. A graduate of Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1942, Wilma continued her education in Springfield, IL, graduating from St. School of Nursing in 1945. She served in the S. Army as a nurse cadet at Camp Carson, Colorado and afterwards began her first career as a Registered Nurse, working at Shelby Memorial Hospital as well as a private duty nurse.

She married James Lowell Goleman on September 22, 1949. The settled in Shelbyville and in nine years were raising their family of four girls (Loma, Marla, Suzanne and Sarah). Wilma continued working at Shelby Memorial Hospital and after a 35 year nursing career, retired to embark on another passion of cooking. She opened the Morgan House restaurant in 1975 and served patrons for the next 33 years, retiring in July, 2008. Wilma was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville and enj oyed gardening.

She is survived by her daughters, Loma Roley and husband Richar of Shelbyville, IL, Marla Pick and husband Michael of Springfield, IL, Sarah Goleman of Ottawa, IL and Christine Bullock Dilk and husband Mic of Fishers, IN; brother, Kenneth Plowman and wif Sherreye of Chilhowie, VA; sister, Gwenda Cutler and husband Leon of Altamont, IL; nine grandchildren, Kurt Roley (Thalia), Craig Roley (Amber), Morgan Pick, Rachel Millburg (Steve), Adam Havey, Kate Havey, Jeffrey Rainey (Chayna), Jonathan Dilk and Connor Dilk; seven great grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and two step-great great grandchildren. (Bunton) Gosnell Of Newton, IL assed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 8:44 AM, at St. John Hospital in Springfield, IL. Susan was born on January 2, 1952 in Newton, the daughter of Cloyce Bunton and Mickey Bergbower Bunton. She worked at the Loami, IL Post Office for a number of years as well as belonging to the Household Science Club, and being a homemaker. She married Steven H. Gosnell on June 16th, 1979 and he preceded her in death on May 24th, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Steven Bunton.

Martin on November 13, 1949 in Sullivan and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1999. Surviving is her son, Philip (Laura) Martin of Sullivan; brother, Charles (Betty) Bolin of Sullivan; grandchildren, Blake (Janelle) Martin of Sullivan, Bryan Martin of Springfield, Melinda Martin of Sullivan; great grandson, Austin Martin and expected triplets.

ch erschligt CHAMPAIGN Richard A. Scherschligt, 73, of Champaign, IL passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at home. Richard was born October 12, 1940 in Sioux Falls, SD, the son of Romane and Angeline Scherschligt. On September 4, 1965, he married the love of his life, Sheryl DeB lauw, in Sioux alls, SD. Survivors include his wife, Sheryl, and their two children, Barbra (AI) Villalba of Doylestown, PA and obert Scherschligt of Springfield, IL; five grandchildren, ominic, Madeline, Lucas, John Paul and Marcus Villalba; two siblings, Karen Fox (Marshall, MI) and Bradley Scherschligt (Linda) (Sioux Falls, SD); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Paul Fox. Richard served his country from 1962-64 as a pharmacy specialist in the U.S. Army. He was a graduate of South Dakota State University School of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, he worked for Osco Drug for more than 30 years, making a career first as a pharmacist and then in management before retiring in 1998 as a market manager.

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Richard loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a dedicated Illini, St. Louis Cardinals, and Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed fishing, tennis and golf. He was a long-time member of the Urbana Country Club and spent many hours on the golf course in his retirement.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., St. Catholic Church, Champaign, IL. Burial will follow at St. Cemetery. isitation will be from 5-7 p.m.

He drove semi-trucks for many years and most recently for MBM Trucking in Taylorville, IL. Rick as a member of the Moose Lodge and Roy Vanderpool American Legion Post both of Shelb yville. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears and was a prominent member of several local liars clubs in Shelbyville. Surviving are children: Cindy Wiback of Shelbyville and Robert E. Smith of Shelbyville; grandchildren: Taylor Lynn Wiback, Clayson Jeffry Price and Lilly Pearl Price; brother Larry (Robin) Smith of Sullivan, IL and close friends, Fred aber and Steve Wagner both of Shelbyville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Stan Smith and Carl Dennis Smith. Visitation will be from 4:007:00 PM Wednesday July 2, 2014 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 7:15 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Kevin Ray will officiate.
