disappointed over disagreements which have arisen on location of the home commissioners said they will continue efforts to provide a site in Brigham City A suggestion that Snow Park be used for the home brought opposition from residents in the area During a meeting held in the Seventh Ward chapel many citizens went on record as opposing location of the home in that area Le Grande Tea county welfare director favored the Snow Park location He said the area was large enough to provide a site for the home and still leave half the area for a playground' The location would also give residents of the home ample room for outside activity OPPOSES FOREST STREET SIDE Mr Tea expressed dissatisfaction with original plans to locate the home on Forest Street The Forest Street property is zoned noncommercial so it has been difficult to acquire additional land which is needed to build a 48-bed home This area has also been suggested as a future site for a municipal building because of its proximity to the main street The welfare director estimated it would take a plot at least 200 by 250 feet for the home itself plus at least two acres for the grounds Commissioner Grover Harper are still looking for a site in Brigham City but we did think that Snow Park would have been a very good -spot since it is big enough for both the home and just hope the residents of the city will help us find a site satisfactory to Commissioner Robert Potter said seems we spend so much to educate our young people and yet we more or less neglect our older citizens We definitely need this home and we
