Bowers of the Orbisonia United Brethren in Christ Church officiating. Interment was made in Oak Grove Cemetery, Clay Township. HELEN M. SALSGIVER Mrs. Helen M.

Salsgiver, of Sproul, died at 10:37 a.m., Sunday, in Altoona Hospital after an extended illness. She was born on May 28, 1899, to Alexander and Carrie (Williams) Long. On Dec. 15. 1919.

she was married to J. in death on September 4, 1972. She is survived by a son and daughter; Lester E. Benson and Mrs. Robert (Esther) Lynn, both of Three Springs.

Ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive, along with these brothers and sisters; Harry Newman, Ray Newman and llovd Newman of Wells Tannerv: Mrs. Hazel Bryson of Altoona, and Mrs. Gladys Stoud of Florida. Three sons and a daughter preceded her in death, Mrs. Benson was of the United Methodist faith.

Funeral services were held Sunday. Julv CARRIE E. BENSON Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth Benson, 81, of Three Springs died Friday, July 12. 1974 at 2:15 a.m.

at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient three days. She was born at Robertsdale on February 21. 1893, a daughter of John and Belle (Shore) Newman. Mrs.

Benson spent most of her girlhood and early married lift-in Wells Valley. She was united in marriage to Thomas E. Benson of Three Springs, RD, on January 22, 1912, at the EUB parsonage in Huntingdon by the Rev. N.W. Bertner.

Robosson, 56 of Hyndman, died Sunday, July 21, 1974, In the Smith Falls Hospital, Smith Falls, Ontario, where she had been a patient for 20 hours. She was born March 4, 1918, in Cumberland a daughter of the late George and Ethel (Valentine) Owings.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Robosson, whom she married Aug. 10, 1935; a son, Charles of Hyndman, and three daughters, Sandra Lee Turner and Mrs. Nedra Jane Alward, both of Hyndman, and Mrs. Marsha Satzer, Austin, Texas; and 14 grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, George E.

Owings of Homestead, and a sister, Mrs. Geraldine Abe of Furnace Road, W. Va. Mrs. Robosson was an employee of the Hyndman-Londonderry schools.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 24, at 1 p.m. in the Zeigler Funeral Home, with Rev. Willard White officiating. Burial was in Rest Lawn Memorial Garden. JOHN S.

MELIUS John S. Melius, 74, of Six Mile Run, died Sunday, July 21, 1974, at 1:15 p.m., in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past several years. He was born Sept. 18, 1899, in Fulton County, a son of Charles and Frances (Ritchey) Melius.

Gordon, 20 Star Route 6, Everett, died Thursday at 10 a.m. in Harrisburg General Hospital. He was severely injured in an automobile accident that occurred Sunday morning. He was born May 23, 1954, in Snake Spring Township, a son of Mrs. Alice E.

(Koontz) Gordon of Star Route 6, Everett, and the late George E. Gordon. Surviving in addition to his mother are two brothers, William D. Gordon, Frostburg, Maryland; and David Duncan, at home, along with three sisters, Mrs. Arlene Barton, Everett; Mrs.

Flora B. Clingerman, Titusville, Pennsylvania; and Mrs. Carolyn J. Harclerode, Cleona, Pennsylvania. Mr.

Gordon, was graduated from Thaddeus Stevens Trade School on June 5, 1974 in Lancaster and was currently employed as a construction carpenter. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20, at 2 p.m. in the Conner Funeral Chapel in hverett, with the Rev. Homer Lingenfelter, officiating. Burial was in the Everett Cemetery.

MYRTLE M. LEIDY Myrtle M. Leidy of 166 W. Main Greenville, died Thursday, July 11, 1974, at 5:05 a.m. at White Cliff Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 5, 1882, in Woodbury, a daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth (Miller) Fink, and was married to Ruben W. Leidy on Feb. 10, 1898. Mr.

Leidy died June 29, 1950. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Ora Williams of Greenville, Miss Marietta of Mansfield, Ohio, Clyde of Moore Haven, and Ivan P. of Sharon and two brothers, John Fink of Riddlesburg and the Rev. Harry A.

Jennie Burnat of Duncannon and Mrs. Sadie Turner of Lewistown. Mr. Melius was a member of the Protestant faith, and was a coal miner by occupation. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 23 at 2 p.m.

Guyer, 73, of Sebring, formerly of Woodbury, died at 8:45 p.m.-Friday. July 19, 1974, at Nason Hospital, after a brief illness. He was born in Woodbury on Aug. 2, 1900, the son of Josiah B. and Rosanna (Snowberger) Guyer.

He was married to Velma Laxton, Aug. 24, 1924, i Rupert, Idaho, He is survived by his wife, two sons Charles E. of Woodbury and Jay T. of Plymouth Meeting, and three grandchildren. Guyer was a member of the Sebring Church of the Brethren and Sebring Tourist Club.

He was a former Woodbury merchant and operated apartments in Sebring. Funeral services were held Monday, July 22 at 2 p.m. at the Woodbury Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Raymond R. Boose officiating.

Burial was in Dry Hill Cemetery. Woodbury. Arrangements were made by the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury. MARYV.COSIMO Mrs.

Mary V. Cosimo, 78, of 420 W. Penn Bedford, died Friday evening, July 19 at her home. She was born July 29, 1895 to Franklin George and Myrtle (Dishong) George. Her husband, George Cosimo preceded her in death in 1964.

She is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Maude Leonard, of 420 W. Penn Bedford; Hayes George of Chambersburg; Mae Olson, of Oklahoma City. Ok; Lawrence George, of Everett; Blanche Robinson, of Detroit, and John George, of Cherry Tree, Pa. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs.

Cosimo was employed by Leech Farms of Pittsburgh for over 37 years. She was of the Lutheran faith. Private funeral services were held July 22, at 1 1 a.m. from the Barefoot-Berkibile Funeral Home, Bedford, with the Rev. Richard L.

in the J.C. Blair Hospital at Huntingdon. He had been in failing health for the past three years. He was born at Dudley on November 28, 1894, a son of Mr. and Mrs.

Harry Wise. He was united in marriage on April 4, 1914 at Dudley to E. Stella Swope who preceded him in death October 17, 1971. Surviving are the following children: Cletus Wise, Dudley; Mrs. W.K.

(Auby) Cornelius, Orlando, William Wise, Akron, Ohio, and Luther Wise, Orlando, Fla. There are 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death. Also surviving are two sisters; Mrs. Florence Wolfe, Huntingdon, and Mrs.

Edna Zimmerman, Jefferson City, Mo. The deceased belonged to the United methodist Church, Dudley. A member of the United Mipe Workers of America, he had been a coal miner by occupation. Funeral services were held Friday, July 12. at 2 p.m.

Manges, 51, of Buffalo Mills RD died suddenly early Thursday morning, July 18, 1974, in Bedford County memorial Hospital. He was born in Central Citv, March 15, 1923, a son of the late Frank and Veda (Mowry) Manges of Buffalo Mills. In addition to his mother, also survivng are his wife. Bettv (Casteeh Manocc I If s. December 26. 1893. a son of Frank and Anna Conrath. He is survived by his wife, the former Stella C. Foor and these children; Mrs.

Freda Diehl, Jay and John Conrath, all of Bedford; Mrs. Sara Bishop, Simpsonville, South Carolina; and Virgil Conrath, Osterburg. Thirty-six grandchildren and 25 greatgrandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by one son, and was the last member of his immediate family. Mr.

Conrath was a retired carpenter and a veteran of World War I serving in the Army as a corporal in the 327th Infantry Division. Funeral services were held Friday, July 19 at 2 p.m. in the Louis Geisel Funeral Home. Bedford, with the Rev. H.

Rowland Prouse. officiating. Burial was in Bedford County Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites conducted at the grave. Secret these children; Donald, Hvndman; Mrs. Janice Smith, RD 1, Bedford; and Judy Ann, at home.

Four grandchildren also survive. One son, Steven, preceded him in death. Mr. Manges was a veteran of World War II and an employee of PennDOT. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20, at 2 p.m.

Julian of Robertsdale Rd. died Tuesday, July 9. 1974, at 3:20 a.m. in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.

He had been a patient since June 25. Mr. Julian was born December 12, 1899 in Hungary, a son of John and Rose (Henderson) Julian. He was united in marriage to Christine Abner on April 25, 1933. Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs.

Richard (Dolly Ann) Fox of Mercersburg; two grandchildren, Tina and Richard Fox. three brothers. Carl, Michael and Charles Julian, all of Robertsdale and two sisters, Mrs. John Ourocci and Mrs. Rose Fowlds, both of Yonkers.

N.Y. An infant son preceded him in death. Mr. Julian was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of New Grenada. He had been employed by the Rockhill Iron and Coal Company, retiring in 1953.

During World War II. he had worked at the Curtis Bav Shipyard in Baltimore. Md. The funeral services were Thursday afternoon. July II.
