A University of Nebraska-Lincoln professor emeritus, he died earlier this week in Georgia at age 95, Saylor died Monday in Valdosta, where he and his wife, Helen, have been living.

He also was survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrill and Stephen Lahr, Valdosta; Sandra and Jim McLean, Roseau, his son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Saylor, St. Paul, seven grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. Saylor was born and reared in Cark'ton, he graduated from school. II obtained an from MtPherson CWft'gc in Kansas and earned mas Saylor was on the board of trustees of the national Joint Council on Economic Education in the mid-1960s. In 1969, he was named to head the National Conference on Student Unrest.

Saylor was past president of the Sheridan School and Irving Junior High School PTAs, past president of the Nebraska Congress of Parents Teachers, and past president of the National Congress of Parents Teachers. He served in 1942 as president of the Lincoln Kiwanis Club. A veteran of World War II, he was in the service from May 1943 to April 1915. He was a lieutenant commander in the Navy. Monday's memorial service begins at 11 a.m.
