Meeting Monday Everglades chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will hold its annual meeting Monday at 2 p. instead of the usual hour, in Old Fort Dallas. The new budget for 1942-43 will be presented to the chapter.

A musical program will be presented by Mrs. C. W. Peters who will introduce Ruth Brotman, coloratura soprano, and Anyuta Melicov, pianist Among Miss Brotman's numbers will be "Car-mena," a Spanish waltz by Lane Wilson. She also will sing a Mozart number.

Youmans, will give a brief outline of the state regent's report of Continental congress held in Chicago, May 3-7, and will present for the chapter's consideration, the new wac project of the Daughters of the American Revolution, namely, the raising of a fund by voluntary contributions to purchase the Mobile blood plasma units and other medical equipment for the U. S. armed forces. Girl Reserves Elect Officers Officers of the Girl Reserves Inter-Club Council were elected Monday at a meeting at the Y.W.C.A., and installed at a supper meeting immediately following. Ethel Vandercar, mother of the lodge, was given gifts and a bouquet of white lilies. Mrs. Cora Russell, the oldest mother present and Mrs. Carloin Breaswell, youngest mother there, there, received white lilies. The lodge's history was given by Mrs.

The Officers and Civilians club, of which Charles M. Moon is president, has, through its occasional gatherings, done much to promote the introduction of newcomers in the area to the older members of the army and navy set, and there will be many new faces at the cocktail dance planned for this afternoon in the patio of the Roney Plaza. Invitations have been issued through the commanding officers, and Mrs. James Harden, chairman of the entertainment committee, has sent tickets among others to the following members of the navy set: Capt Gerald F. and Mrs. Fisher, who were married in November, will be here for another week, then will return, to their home in Long Island, where he is associated with Grumman Aircraft. Mrs. Thomas F. King, wife of Lieutenant (jg) King, who went to Jacksonville with Mrs.

Irwin Wheeler, is due to return this week-end. Mrs. Wheeler was here as the King's house guest at their home at 3791 El Prado, Coconut Grove. They have recently moved here with their six-year-old son Tom, from Jacksonville, where Mrs. King is a member of the Junior league.

The navy set will miss Lieut, and Mrs. Joseph B. Hoyt who left Miami Thursday. In addition to Mrs. John P.

Martin's luncheon last week for Mrs. Hoyt, many friends entertained informally for the popular couple and recently their daughter, Mrs. Nelson V. Phillips, whose marriage to Ensign Phillips in April was the first wedding at the Officers' club, got together a number of her parents' friends for a farewell picnic supper. The party was at the home of Ensign and Mrs.

H. Boyce Taylor was the dinner guest of Lieut (jg) and Mrs. John A. Gilliland Tuesday night on her return from Jacksonville where she visited her parents. That is also the reason for Lieut (jg) and Mrs.

Kenneth P. Hance's trip to Tampa. They left Wednesday, plan to stay only a few days, are with Mrs. Hance's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Beman Beckwith. Lieut. Owen A. Duncan returned to Miami recently after going to Columbia, S. to get Mrs.

Duncan and their 16-months' old daughter Gelene. They have taken a house at 2435 S. W. 21st at, and are planning informal parties later on, as Lieutenant Duncan is anxious for Mrs. Dun-can to know the many people he has met since being stationed here.

Last February, when five-year-old Abbot Peterson III, became ill, his parents, Lieutenant (jg and Mrs. Peterson, packed off his sister, Martha Ann, to stay with Mrs. Peterson's mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. H.

F. Lesh in Pinehurst N. Young covery now and Martha Ann has Abbot is well on the road to re-returned home and also returned by airplane, an' event not soon to be forgotten. B. Rosborough, state president of A.A.U.W.; Mrs. Charles Carroll, jr, chairman of the reception committee, and Dr. Eliza J. Merrick, honorary life president Assisting Mrs.

McCahilL The regular meeting of the county federation was originally scheduled with the North Miami Woman's club at their clubhouse, but because of the gasoline rationing it was thought advisable to hold the meeting in town at a location easily accessible by bus.
