8-0 ft Chicago 3 Montreal I CHICAGO (LTD Rick Monday's double, which was lost In the sun by Montreal center fielder by Andre Dawson, provided the Chicago Cubs with a 3-1 win over the Expos Saturday. Monday led off the sixth inning with a routine fly that fell to the right of Dawson for a double. A sacrifice moved him to third and Bill Madlock's ground out scored Monday breaking a 1-1 tie. ll'PI Dave Parker drove in two runs and scored three more while John Candelaria stopped St. Louis on five hits Saturday in an 8-0 victory by the Pittsburgh Pirates over the Cardinals.

Parker, who now has 89 RBI, singled to lead off the Pirates' second and came home when Richie Hebner tripled. Ed Kirkpatrick and Rennie Stennett followed with doubles, giving Pittsburgh a 3-0 lead off loser Lynn McUlothcn, 13-15. Parker's 13th home run of the year, a two-run blast, completed the Pirates scoring in the fourth. Candelaria raised his record to 16-7, Astros scored a 10-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants in the season'i finale lor both teams. Richard, 20-15, struc out 13 in posting his 14th complete game of the season.

He drove in three runs with a pair of singles and a two-run homer and finished the season with 214 strikeouts. Larry Dierkcr won 20 for the Astros in Cliff Johnson doubled in two runs in the Astros' four-run second Inning off starter and loser Rob Dressier, 3-10. Bob atson also singled in a pair of runs in a four-run Houston sixth against rookie Tommy Toms. if -in' CHICAGO mon rL bl ab ab I 4 I 1 Philadelphia 7 New York 4 PHILADELPHIA (UPI) Jerry Martin hit a two-run homer and Dave Cash pounded out four hits Saturday night to pace the Philadelphia Phillies to their 100th victory of the season in a 7-4 decision over the New York Mets. Jim Lonborg, who squeezed in a sixth-inning run, survived a three-run first Inning by the Mets to post his 18th win against 10 defeats.

Jon Matlack, 17-10, was the loser. Martin's homer followed a single by Bob Boone, and the Phillies tied it 4-4 in the third when Dave Cash singled and Mike Schmidt and Ollie Brown hit consecutive run-scoring doubles. New York used an error by Cash, doubles by John Milner and Dave Kingman and singles by Ed Kranepool and Roy Staiger to score three runs In the first inning. Staiger also singled in a run in the third inning. Cash opened the fifth with his third of four singles and scored on a single by Brown.

Bobby Tolan was safe on a throwing error in the sixth, moved to third on a single by Larry Bowa and scored on Lonborg's squeeze. San Diego 4 Los Angeles 1 LOS ANGELES (UPI) Mike Ivie hit a three-run homer to cap a four-run San Diego eighth Inning and spoil Don Sutton's bid for his 22nd victory Saturday as the Padres turned back the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-1. The Padres touched Cy Young candidate Sutton, 21-10, for singles by Johnny Grubb, Jerry Turner and Bobby Valentine before Ivie hit his seventh homer of Hisle. Brye scored on Carew's single and Smaliey came home when Royals' outfielder Willie Wilson fielded Carew's hit and threw to third where no Royal was covering.

Carew went to third when Wilson's throw hit the base and bounced into the Twins' dugout and then scored on Hisle's single. With two outs in the bottom of the first, Rick Miller singled to center and Rice followed with a line drive to right centerfield that went for a triple. The ball skidded under the glove of the charging Al Bumbry and went all the way to the wall. Cleveland, 10-9, allowed only three Orioles to get to second base through eight innings, two on stolen bases along with a double by Kiko Garcia. Tom House and Jim Willoughby pitched the ninth inning.

The loss was the Brewers' 21st in their last 25 games.

Fidrych, 19-9. walked one and struck out four for his 24th complete game. Detroit scored in the second on Chuck Scrivener's run-scoring single after Bruce Kimm walked and stole second. In the fifth, they scored again on Rusty Staub's run-scoring single and then added two more in the seventh on another RBI single by Staub and an error by Milwaukee shortstop Robin The Detroit Tigers said Saturday that rookie pitcher Mark Fidrych has been awarded a bonus by Tiger owner John E. Fetzer.

The club also said that Fidrych signed a three year contract. Fidrych, nicknamed the was 18-9 going into Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
