Friday morning, Thomas A. Spangler, 43, of 2751 Lancaster-Kirkersville Road, found his side garage door had been forced open and the overhead garage door also was opened. Both doors had been locked, the report said. Spangler also reported a vehicle owned by John W. McCullough, 35, Columbus, had been parked in Spangler's garage and was vandalized at the same lime.

Brown of Lancaster; mother, Alice L. Brown of Buckeye Lake; one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Orem Miller of Lancaster; one brother and sister-in-law, George W. and Mickell Brown of Lewiston, Idaho; nieces and nephews; and special family friends, Bob and Sharon Coen of Alexandria, Ohio, Joan Bennett of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his father, William W. Brown.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Sheridan Funeral Home, with Jerry Caldwell officiating. There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. Robert Bitler Robert "Bob" Bitler, 79, of 3305 Hamburg Road, Lancaster, died Monday, March 2, 1992, at Chillicothe Veterans Hospital.

He was retired from Lancaster Glass Corp. a member of American Legion Post 11, Disabled American Veterans Post 40, VFW Post 1380, Moose Lodge 955 and Olivedale Senior Citizens Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War U. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marion and Donald Hoffman of Sugar Grove; five sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Carol Bitler Jr.

of Dayton, Gary and Marsha Bitler of Lancaster, David and Cathy Bitler of Lancaster, Ronald and Pam Bitler of Amanda, and Gregory and Patty Bitler of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Levi Bitler of Baltimore; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Bitler. The funeral will be at 1 :30 p.m. Wednesday at Sheridan Funeral Home in Lancaster, with the Rev. Duane K.

Albers officiating. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Colfax. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and up until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.

Edwin Lee Edwin J. Lee, 73, Lancaster, formerly of Neptune, N.J., passed away Sunday, March 1992, at Lancaslcr-Fairficld Community Hospital. He was a member of U.S. Army Air Corps, veteran of World War II, member or Si. Mark Catholic Church and Knight's of Columbus of Lancaster.

He was a retired employee of the U.S. Government. He is survived by his wife, Elcanorc M. Lee of Lancaster; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Margaret Lee of Pickcrington, and Dennis and Dcnisc Lee of Lancaster; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Charles Bopp of Ccntcrvillc, and seven grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m.

Wednesday at St. Mark Catholic Church in Lancaster, with Father Ronald Artcr officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Hazel Evans Hazel P. Evans, 72, Logan, died Sunday, March 1, 1992, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. She was born Dec. 21, 1919, in Hocking County, daughter of the late James and Mary (Vollmer) Tucker. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary of Logan, and she was a retired press operator from Metal Powder of Logan.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Dolores Jean Evans of Zanesville; four grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; one brother and sister, Clarence Tucker and Louise Crane, both of Logan. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Raymond, and two sisters, Leona Thompson and Rebecca Woltz. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan, with the Revs. Ricci Arthur and Conrad O.

Leroy Harris Leroy W. Harris, 74, Lancaster, formerly of Columbus, passed away at his residence in Delray Beach, on Feb. 29, 1992. He was a retired employee of DCSC in Columbus, member of Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite of Columbus and the Fairfield Church of Christ in Lancaster. He is survived by his wife, Helen M.
