THE OFFENSIVE First Team blasts a 5,000 yard backfield, with Lopei at quarterback, Titus (252x1106) and Volpi (149x857) at halfback and Balletto (157x737) at fullback, Wide receivers are Eddens (42x864) and Vaughan (25x568) who scored and eight touchdowns, respectively, this year. Titus, Volpi and Vaughan are the only juniors on the offensive First Team- On defense, the coach of the mythical All-Empire team would send out linemen Houlemard, Finley, Pierre and Plevney, with Pellandini, Ramatici. McAtee and Stanley to back them up. Defensive backs are 'D'Agosta, a 130-pounder, Vaughan, a 135-pounder, and Salazar.

Houlemard, Ramatici, D'Agosta and Vaughan will all be back next year they're juniors. THE ALL-EMPIRE Second Team is nothing to sniff at. passing yardage this year (1863) is the quarterback. Nineteen of his passes went for touchdowns. Rob Crandall (Newman), Dave Hernandez (Healdsburg) and Steve Donaldson (Santa Rosa) are the All-Empire second team running backs.

There are three wide receivers on the second team, Salazar at one side with Steve Mc-Cabe (Healdsburg) and Pat Patterson (Piner) tied for the berth on the other side. Guards are Joe DelQuerra (Montgomery), and Mike Peterson (Cesa Grande) and center is Pierre of Newman. Jim Krist of Petaluma holds down one tackle spot, with Albert Giam-mona of Healdsburg and Reynaldo Uresti of El Molino tied for the other tackle job. Of that 13-man crew, only Donaldson and Glammona will return next year. Both are juniors.

Ukiah placed three men to the defensive Second Team, Jerry Dietrlck (line), Mark Rupe jllneblacker and Jeff Kolesar (back). Other linemen are Tom Loupy (Healdsburg), Bob Frye (Petaluma) and Mike Plevney (El Molino). Healdsburg's Tinker Puran is a second team linebacker, along with Kent Armbright (Petaluma). Gian Camare (Santa Rosa) Don Rehe (Piner) and Pete Ward (Sonoma) join Kolesar in the defensive backfield. Frye and Rupe are juniors, so they'll be back in 1977 to bid for First Team berths.

Lake gridders receive honor LAKEPORT The Lake County committee for the Northern California chapter of the National Football Hall of Fame has selected Steve Brown, a lineman from Upper Lake High School and Kirk Bruchler, fcackfield from Clearlake High School as the 1976 outstanding scholar-athletes. The boys will be honored" at a banquet Monday evening at the San Francisco Jlilton Hotel along with winders from eleven other northern California counties. O'Rourke, who led the Empire in yards gained (1229) and who shredded the Willits defense for 226 yards and Lower Lake for 216, is the PD's "Back of the Year" for the small school ranks.

Reinhard, a 6-3, 230 pound son of former Cal star Bob Reinhard, is the "Lineman of the Matt, whose brother Bob, was a Stanford standout played offensive tackle and noseguard for the Wolverines. Fort Bragg, St. Helena and Cloverdale of the North Central League I all placed four men on the All-Empire team. Willits of the NCL I placed three, as did Mendocino, champion of the Northwestern League. Upper Lake, the North Central League II champ, had one man named All-Empire, center Steve Brown.
