She was born Aug. 15, 1909, in Galion, the daughter of the late John W. and Pearl (Butler) Spiggle. On Dec. 31, 1 946, she married Willard J.

Logan, and he died Sept. 25, 1979. A 1927 graduate of Galion High School, she and her husband owned and operated the former Logan Furniture Store in Galion. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Galion. Mrs.

Logan is survived by a sister, Mrs. Gene (Harriet) Crim, Galion; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery, Galion, with the Rev. Karen Eversman officiating.

No calling hours will be observed at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, which handled arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, Galion, or charity of donor's choice. Herta R. Mahler GALION Herta R. Mahler, 48, 41 1 W.

Church Galion, died at 8 p.m. Saturday at her home, following a long illness. She was born Feb. 24, 1936, in Michelau, Germany, the daughter of the late Lorenz and Anna E. (Zimmerlein) Gagel.

On June 15, 1958, she married Paul E. Mahler and he survives. Born'in Germany, Mrs. Mahler mo ved to New York City at age 1 9, and came to Galion in 1958. She was employed at the former Pharmacy, Galion, for 18 years.

She was a member of Galion Alliance Church. She also is survived by a son, Frederick Robert Mahler, Galion; a daughter, Mrs. Jose (Karen Anne) Lopez, Miami, a sister, Use M. Mann, Michelau, Germany; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Galion Alliance Church with the Rev. Jeff Lord officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Galion. Friends may call at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, Galion, 7-9 tonight.

Alfred W. Jarvis, 78, 525 W. Warren died at 1:28 p.m. Saturday at Galion Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born Feb.

25, 1916, in St. Louis, the son of the late Alfred R. and Hazel (McGirr) Jarvis Walker. His stepfather, Clare Walker, also is deceased. On Aug.

2, 1942, he married the former Jane W. Pratt and she survives. Mr. Jarvis served as an Episcopalian rector at St. Mark's in Sidney; as an associate rector at St.

John the Divine of Houston, Houston, Texas; and as rector of St. James Episcopal Church of Bucyrus, prior to his retirement. He was a graduate of Toledo Scott High School and Toledo University and Bexley Hall Seminary at Kenyon College. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo while he lived there, and a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Mansfield. A veteran of World War II, he served as a chaplain in the European Theater, had been active with Galion Trouble Clinic, served on the board of Galion Community Center, amemberof Galion Ki wanis Club and was active in numerous ministerial associations.

He also was an avid gardener. He also is survived by three sons, Alfred Kenneth Jarvis, Neil Kevin Jarvis and John Mark Whipple Jarvis, all Galion; a half-brother, Norman K. Walker, Florida; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Rheta Walker. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m.

Her father and step-mother Ruth Cross survive in Upper Sandusky and her mother and step-father, Marion Searls, survive in Bucyrus. On May 7, 1993, she married Richard Wade and he also survives. A nurse's aide at Heartland of Bucyrus, she lived her entire life in Bucyrus.

She attended Bucyrus High School and was a member of the 1994 class, member of Assembly of God Church and an avid teddy bear collector. She also is survived by a daughter, Angelica Wade, at home; grandfathers, Willard Cross and Jack Brady, both Bucyrus; grandmothers, Edna Lewis and Grandma Searls, her parents-in-law, Tom and Darla Wade, Bucyrus; a half-brother, Andy Searls, Bucyrus; and half-sisters, Rachel and Amber Searls, Bucyrus. Funeral services will be held 1 1 a.m. Wednesdsy at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Rebon officiating. Burial will be in Crawford County Memory Gardens.

She was born June 25, 1898, in Cleveland, the daughterof the late George W. and Julia E. (Schaca) Kraus. A member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Galion, she was also a member of Galion Golden Age Club and formeremployee of the former Ohio Overcoat Co.

Funeral services will be held 1 1 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip R. Raynes officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
