The bodies four adults and two children were discovered Monday at a small rental house where three other children also were found critically wounded. Cecil Dotson was the faof the dead and injured children.

The surviving children are under police custody at a children's hospital and authorities refuse to give the extent of their injuries. Children known to have been in the house were ages 9, 7, 5, Associated Press Jessie L. JoAnn Brandenburg sensed something just minutes into the "Introductory to Ghost Hunting" class recently. There's something in the corner, said Brandenburg, pointing to an empty chair in the corner. "I'm feeling kind of funny in here. I'm very sensitive." It isn't surprising that Brandenburg felt something, because the Porter Drive warehouse that's home to the ghost hunting classes is Patti Starr, a ghost hunter haunted 1 with a spirit, said and president and founder of Lexington-based Ghost Chasers International, a group of ghost investigators. The spirit often flickers the lights, makes clicking sounds or is seen walking up and down the hall.

During a class once, a dark mist filled the room and the spirit lifted a purse from a table and set it down again, Starr said. The introductory, class, which is usually held the first Saturday of every month, is the first step toward becoming a Ghost Chasers International-approved ghost hunter. In the first class, students learn the basics of ghost hunting, such as the different types of hauntings, where to find ghosts, equipment used in a ghost investigation and the difference between a ghost and a spirit. The class also covers how to conduct an investigation, research haunted history and collect physical evidence through audio recordings, photographs and videotapes. The organization certifies its students after they take the "Advanced Ghost Hunting" class and complete an exam.

The advanced class covers the aspects of an investigation in more detail, including how to use the various meters, thermometers and dowsing rods used to find spirits. It also includes an investigation in the building where Ghost Chasers is located. Starr, a full-time ghost hunter and the guide of the Bardstown Ghost Trek, has been investigating ghosts for more then 30 years. Although ghost hunting doesn't require tools, Starr believes in using as much equipment as possible to gather scientific and physical evidence of the activity being investigated. This also can be used to better convince doubters.

Dowsing rods, meters to check electromagnetic fields, temperature thermometers, audio recorders, video recorders and cameras are all part of a ghost hunter's tool kit. "We are on the cusp of something so new no one knows what they're doing," Starr said. "We are i in an area we do not totally understand." Introductory student Ryan Glaros had already been on one ghost investigation when he learned about the ghost hunters class. Last year, Glaros did a ghost investigation at Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville where he saw "some shadows." In April, he's returning to Waverly Hills, where he hopes to be better prepared to find ghosts, Glaros said. Glaros' interest in ghosts began about five years ago.

He was cleaning carpets in a house when he tripped and nearly fell. Just before he hit the ground, something caught him from behind. He later found out that someone had died in the house recently. Glaros said he plans to become a certified ghost hunter and will also join Ghost Chasers. Sleep Disorder Center Accredited by American Academy of Sleep Medicine Jatin K.

Knoxville police say 45- year-old Paul Wallace Dinwiddie is being held on bonds totaling $545,000 on a slew of charges. The charges range from rape at knifepoint of a woman in October 2006 to the luring of another woman into his home to rape her in April 2007 to an armed stand-off with police in February.

multiple injuries as a result of stab wounds, police said. Two adult males and two females were among the dead. Dotson and the other male, Hollis Seals, 33, have extensive police records on charges that include possession of illegal drugs and firearms. Cecil Dotson is identified in jail records as a known gang member. Records also show that Jessie Dotson pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 1994 and spent 14 years in prison.

He was released from prison in January. Police say the victims were killed between Saturday night and Monday evening at a residence on Lester Street in a rough, lowincome neighborhood called Binghampton. Also killed were Shindri Roberson, 25, and Marissa Rene Williams, 26, the mother of four of Cecil Dotson's children.
