Chase's grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Conover went over to greet him. ATTEND GRADUATION: Mrs. J. T.

Hawkins and son, Lionel, and Dennis Schumann, all of West Lake, and Mrs. Jim Cooper of Port Neches, visited Mrs. Hawkins' son and his family, Rev. and Mrs. Gary Hawkins, in Conway, during the weekend recently.

They also went to Arkadelphia where they attended the graduation exercises of Ouachita Baptist College during which Rev. Hawkins received his M. A. degree in religion. CLASS OF 1944: A twenty year, reunion of Saint Charles Academy Class of was held Saturday, May 30th.

The former classmates met at Saint Charles to reminisce about school days with Sister Mary Peter (fellow graduate presently teaching at the school) then proceeded to the Chateau Charles for dinner. Mrs. M. F. Wilbur formerly Patricia Eaton, now living in Los Alamitos, was unable to attend but surprised the class by wiring flowers for the occasion, which in turn were presented to Sister Peter for the chapel at the school.

Those attending from Lake Charles were Mrs. Ross Winn, Mrs. Joe McIver, Mrs. Gerald Sinitiere, Mrs. Eddie Dufrene, Mrs.

Robert Schmidt, Miss Alma Farber, Mrs. Clif Landry, a Mrs. Anthony Fortitta, Mrs. Ellis Joffrion, Mrs. Lawrence Smith and Mrs.

Paul Harrington. A.B.W.A.: Mrs. Kirby Guillory, President of the Lake Chapter of American Business Women's Association, will talk to the Chapter on "Looking Ahead with City of the Lake Charles," Monday, June 8th, at 7:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Route 90, Lake Charles, at the regular dinner meeting. The nominating committee will present their report, the slate of new officers to be voted upon, and later installed.

Members please note time and place and be present at this very important meeting to elect the officers you wish for the coming year. GRADUATE ATTORNEY WITH HONORS: Marsden William Miller son of Mr. and Mrs. Marsden William Miller is the youngest in his LSU grad class of (26 and he has finished fourth in his class. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, honorary law fraternity.

The order of the Coif, a national legal honor society, was awarded him and five other members of the class. The Order of the Coif is the highest honor a law student can receive. Another son of the Senior Millers, Roland, is home visiting for a few weeks before he returns to LSU summer school where he is studying pre-law. COUPLE HONORED: Mr. and Mrs.

Forrest Gill and Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Trammell will entertain today with a swim supper at West Fork for Martha Ann Gill and Jack Cockran who will be married June 20.

KIDDIE KORNER: Born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Pratt II (nee Sandra Sudduth) of Raleigh, N.C., a daughter, Pamela Elizabeth, on June 1, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. The little girl, who weighed six pounds, three and one-half ounces, is the Pratts' second child and first daughter.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Pratt are graduates of McNeese State College. Mr. Pratt is a physicist for Corning Electronics 111 Raleigh.

The maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sudduth, 3414 Patrick. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs.

Charles R. Pratt 4302 Ashland. ALPHA DELTA PI: Alumnae will meet Monday, June 8, at the home of Mrs. Frank Tritico, 3800 Ryan at 4:30 p.m. CLASS REUNION: Mr.

and Mrs. Lloyd D. McClatchey Sr. left last week to attend the 40th anniversary of her 1924 graduating class in Bartlesville, Okla. The class has met every five years since graduation with a record attendance of students and faculty from all parts of the U.S.

The McClatcheys will visit in Marshall, Texas, with their son and family, and while in the middle West, they will be the guests of Col. and Mrs. Ed Garrison and of Col. and Mrs. Floyd J.

Gudgel, former Chennault AFB personnel, Stillwater, Okla, They will also stop at Mr. McClatchey's boyhood home, and Iowa State University, his Alma Mater, visit friends in St. Louis and Arkansas, and motor through the Ozarks on their June vacation. A VISIT TO NEW RELATIVES: Mrs. Garf Macdonald and her daughter, Alice Nelson and son Jamie Macdonald recently returned from New Orleans where they visited Mrs.

Dennis Cipnic, the former Isabel Macdonald, and met Kenneth Ian Cipnic who was born May 1. Dennis Cipnic, who is a magazine writer and photographer, is at present IN Europe where he is doing assignments in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, England, and Scotland. In addition to Kenneth the Cipnics have three other children, Robert, Rebecca, and Aaron. TO VISIT EUROPE: Annie Funk and niece, Becky DeRouen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

L. D. DeRouen left for Europe June 3. They will visit Sgt. and Mrs.

Fred Funk and children in Fayetteville, North Carolina. They will see the World's Fair before sailing on June 11 on the S. S. Mauratania for Ireland. They will tour Ireland, England, France, Italy, Switzerland and Germany.

In Germany they will visit Miss Funk's niece and nephew, Major and Mrs. Wade Dupuis and children in Frankfort. FRENCH LEAVE: Mrs. Mike Washofsky, nee Rachelle Tankel, 13 visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Moris Tankel after a four-year residency in France. Rachelle is here with her two children, Craig and Anne and they will be joined by Capt. Washofsky in a few weeks. The couple will be stationed in Columbus, Ohio. DAVID LARSEN CHAFFIN: Mr.

and Mrs. Pat 11. Chaffin, Jr. are the proud parents of a son born on Tuesday, June 2, in Eugene, Oregon. The paternal grandparents are the Pat Chaffin Seniors of this city.
