Donna Potts and Delores Schneider (1,126) dropped to sixth place when Ruby Metz and Janie Stiteler combined efforts for a 1,134 to tie with Hon Wehinger-Ellie Gentille for fourth place. Amber Averill-Ev Swank and Billie Cleckner Lil MeFunyon held on to a second place tie with a 1,166 score. Jean McClaran-Eleanor Baker are in third place with 1,135.

SWANK WINS AGAIN Ev Swank made a repeat performance from last year when she captured the scratch all-events with a 1,584. Last year she tossed a 1,486. John Simpson travels to Ontario Wednesday and return to its home court Thursday to host Ashland. Johnny Appleseed plays host to Butler Tuesday and goes to Union Thursday. Simpson will get two good chances to even up things this week as Ontario and Ashland are the only two teams to have beaten the Bulldogs. Ashland beat the Bulldogs, 48-42 and Ontario, 44-39. Simpson now has won its last six outings after losing its first two.

Two Bulldogs are hitting over ten points per game. Gilbert Ray is averaging 13.4 and Robert Norris, 11.8. Appleseed (5-3) will try to make it two wins in a row against Butler. The Pioneers beat Union 40-31 last Thursday. Leading the scoring parade for the Pioneers is John Nagle with 84 points.
