By PHIL RUDELL ONTARIO -Kitty Vidra, an Ontario High School student who completed enough credits to graduate from high school after three years of study, will be allowed to graduate with class standing and all the other honors. The Springfield Local Board of Education at a special meeting last night amended a rule to say that all students graduating in June are entitled to class standing and all the honors and ceremonies they are due. Before, the rule denied class standing to any student who graduated ahead of his class. Miss Vidra's case was the first such case to be presented to the board.

Board member William Fischer said the rule was written to apply to students who didn't have enough credits in June to graduate and must attend summer school. The matter was brought to the board by her father, Donald Vidra, who contended it wasn't fair to his daughter who worked "extra hard" on her studies to be denied class standing and participation in the commencement ceremonies. In other action the board: Approved using the driver training simulator for the next school year after hearing driving instructors Roger Copeland, Larry Hock and Robert Esmont say it was a "valuable teaching tool."
