In March of this year, our firms announced that we are discontinuing ambulance service effective June 1, 1967. We pointed out that such a move was necessary, since the increasing number of ambulance calls which we receive detract from the time and man power needed to fulfill our first obligation; meeting the funeral service needs of the community. Prior to making these public announcements, we contacted the city government and numerous organizations to explain our situation and insure that for ambulance service to be provided by sufficient time was allowed to arrange other means. It was felt by all concerned that the June 1st discontinuance date did allow sufficient time.

Now, the date agreed upon is close at hand, and we believe it is in the best interest of our community that we publish this reminder: As of Midnight May 31, 1967, the undesigned firms will no longer provide ambulance service.
