Guests will include Norma Wiley, Lolagene Shick, Nancy Johns, Thelma Williams, Ann Marie Brady, Patty Huffman, Rose Blake, Joanne Truman and Jane McGaughey. Miss Mary Burns, of Ridgway, was home for the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

H. A. Burns. Dorothy Shaffer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Howard Shaffer, Jenks street, has accepted a position as librarian in Wilson junior high school, in Erie. Miss Shaffer formerly was librarian at DuBois high school and for the past semester has filled a similar position in Sugar Creek township high school at Franklin. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Byerly transacted business in New Bethlehem on Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wade M. Henderson and daughter, Louise, will go to Philadelphia Saturday for the wedding of their son and brother, George E. Henderson, to Miss Isabel Eisenberg, of Norristown.

Tony Boozer and son, William, of Chicago, were in Brookville over the week called here by the death Mr. Boozer's father, William T. Boozer. Mrs. J.

P. Winslow will entertain her bridge club at her home Tuesday evening. Mrs. Larue Pollum, Esther McKnight, Mrs. Samuel Preston and Mrs.

Dwight King attended the merchandise mart in Pittsburgh on Monday of this week. Harold Hatten, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hatten, of Hiram street, was guest of honor at a dinner given by his grandmother, Mrs. John Hatten, Tuesday evening at Emerickville.

The occasion was his fifteenth birthday anniversary. Mrs. Elmer Ferguson, of Worthville, his maternal grandmother, was also a guest at the dinner. Harry Burns, of Philadelphia, and Franklin Mohney, of Pennsylvania State College, spent the week- with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

H. A. Burns. Webster Boozer, of Rochester, N. spent several days in Brookville because of the illness and death of his father, William T.

Boozer. Miss Nancy Beatty, a student at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, is spending a short vacation between semesters at her home here. Mrs. Goldie Neal has returned to her home in Altoona after spending the past three weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Tongred Giovannelli, and family, and with her mother, Mrs.

Mathers. Miss Mary Louise McAninch has completed a course of instruction at the Orra-Jean beauty academy, in Erie, and has returned to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray McAninch. STORK NEWS Mr.

and Mrs. Albert E. Reitz, of Lancaster, announce the birth of a daughter, Sheryl Anne, in the Lancaster General hospital on Saturday, December 14, 1946. This is the second daughter and second child. Mrs.

had business which brought them to Brookville for a day this week. Three of the Bukovac brothers, William, R. Henry and Eugene, brother-in-law, John D. Cooper, are engaged in the taxicab business in Washington, all owning and driving their own cabs. Bruce Milliren, of Reynoldsville, was in Brookville Wednesday on business.

Charles church of New Bethlehem. Rev. James O'Connor, pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony. The bride was attired in a dress of gold crepe with black accessorlies, and a corsage of white carnations. Miss Phyllis Connor, of Washington, D.

sister of the groom, who served as maid of honor, wore a sunset crepe dress with black accessories, and a corsage of white carnations. Carl Shaffer, of Mayport R. D. 1, served as best man. Immediately following the ceremony a dinner was served at the groom's home.

Traditional wedding cake stopped with miniature bride and groom, adorned the center of the table. The couple will honeymoon through the southern states. The groom is a veteran of three and one-half years' 'service with the armed forces, twenty-six months of which were spent overseas. BAUGHMAN-STEELE Mr. and Mrs.

Wilbur Baughman, of Marienville, announce the marriage of their daughter, Clara E. Baughman, to Harry Dalph Steele, son of Mrs. Ruby R. Steele, of Sigel, on Saturday, January 11, in the Methodist church at Bradford. The bride is a graduate of the Marienville high school with the class of 1945.

Mr. Steele graduated from Sigel high school with the class of 1942 and is now employed by the Marienville Glass Company. Following a short wedding trip the couple will reside in Marienville. CRAWFORD-McCRACKEN Mr. and Mrs.

F. Benton Shoemaker, at Beechwoods. Dr. Shoemaker performed the ceremony. Mrs.

Margery Smith, sister of the bride, and Darrell Crawford, brother of the bride, attended the couple. The bride has eben employed by Sylvania Electric Products in Brookville; Mr. McCracken owns a garage in Richardsville. The couple expect to make their home in Brookville. Mr.

and Mrs. Charles F. Shaffer, of Pittsburgh, spent the weekend in Brookville with relatives, and attended the funeral of W. Turney Boozer. Mr.

and Mrs. Thomas A. Warner and daughter, Patricia Ann, moved this week from East Main street to 301 Main street. Mrs. Edward Bodenhorn, of Sellersville, is visiting this week with relatives and friends in Brookville.

Guest Speakers At Civic Club Session Tuesday Guest speakers at the regular meeting of Brookville Civic Club, held Tuesday evening, January 28, in the American Hotel club room, included Jean Welton, who spoke on "Growth of Drama," and Mrs. Albert Richards, who gave a reading entitled "Story of the Blue Willow." Mrs. Richards illustrated her discussion with blue willow dishes, brought from China, around which centered the story. plans were completed for the bridge and five hundred party which is to be held Tuesday, February 18, at 8:00 p. m.

Marcia Hicks Recovering From Coasting Accident Marcia Foster Hicks, daughter of Mrs. Beatrice Hicks, a teacher in Brookville high school, who underwent an operation in Brookville hospital for removal of the spleen following a sled riding accident Wednesday, January 22, is reported greatly improved. The eight-year-old child crashed into an iron post along the side of Jared street and injured her back after which she was taken to Brookville hospital for treatment. Since the operation for removal of the spleen on Thursday her condition has steadily improved.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Boyd, of Pittsburgh, spent the weektend at the home of their parents in Brookville. Mr.

Boyd a returned to Pittsburgh Sunday, while Mrs. Boyd remained until Wednesday to visit with her father, James H. Sentner, Pine street. Pfc. Richard W.

Ballentine, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Ballentine, of North Pickering street, has arrived in southern Japan and is now stationed at the Atomi Army Air Base.
