Ashlanders Seek 26th Straight ASHLAND The Ashland High School basketballers will be seeking their 26th straight victory at home when they host Wooster in a Cardinal Conference contest tonight. "Wooster has a fine ball club and we will have to play good ball to beat them, Coach Doug McDonald stated.

"The Generals have a well balanced team and have won their last two games." Wooster has an overall 2-3 record and sports a two won, one lost record in the league. Ashland has a overall mark and is 2-0 in the conference. DEFENSE TIME "We have been working mostly on defense in tice sessions. We blocked out well against Mansfield Malabar last week but there was still several things we did wrong," 1 McDonald said. Ashland is averaging 83.7 points per game on offense.

Tom Malone, 6-9 center, is the top scorer with a 26.5 average followed by Milt Monney, 21.0; Dave Honaker, 9.2; Gary Baum, 7.7 and Mark Hamilton, 5.7. "Fred Pollock (a 6-1 forward) is probably the best all around performer on the Wooster team. Pollock hit 27 points against Dover last week. Dave Dalton (6- 2) center) canned 23 points against the Tornadoes," McDonald said.
