After dominating the first half and scoring in each of the first two quarters, Muskingum was obliged to hold on for dear life against a determined threat by the Big Red in the second half. The Muskies started out as if they intended to blow the home team off the field, marching 71 in 15 plays from the opening kickoff, with fullbacks Donn Foutz carrying over from the three for a touchdown and Mark DeVilling adding the extra point with a placekick. The victory gave the Tigers an 8-0 record for the season and a 29-game unbeaten streak.

Green added only 27 yards his 1,635 yards on the ground as the small college 1 rushing leader but he completed 22 of passes for 247 yards in the air. The Tigers wound up with 475 yards in total offense and held Wabash to 151 yards on the ground and 22 passing. Wittenberg jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first period and led Ohio U. Bobcats Lose 13-8 To Host Broncos KALAMAZOO, Mich. (UPI)- Western Michigan gained less yardage in the air and on the ground, but made it count more and scored a come-from-behind 13-8 upset victory over Ohio University here Saturday.

The Broncos took the lead late in the first half after end Dick Pryor recovered an Ohio fumble on the Ohio 30. In six plays, western scored with Art Willick taking the ball over. Tom McGhee kicked the conversion. Ohio gained the lead in the third period with a 64-yard Ohio U. In Title Run DELAWARE (UPI) Ohio University, winners last week of the Mid-American cross country title, continued to steam roll Saturday and downed Miami, their chief rival, to take the All-Ohio crown.

Braves Must Remain In Milwaukee In '65 PHOENIX, Ariz. (UPI)-The National. League ruled Satur-ers day the Braves must remain in Milwaukee for the 1965 season but may move to Atlanta in 1966. Warren Giles, NL President, said the league held a special meeting to discuss the Milwaukee situation.

He said the Milwaukee representatives were asked to leave the room, and in their absence. the other league representatives voted unanimously to instruct Milwaukee to remain in the Wisconsin city next year. Giles said the league also ruled that "it was in the best future interests of baseball to have the club move to Atlanta in Baseball Commissioner Ford Frick said after the concluding joint session of both leagues that it was the concensus of all attending that the regular base(ball convention in Houston would take up the proposed adoption of a free agent draft and an unrestricted draft that would include all players once every club had reached its limlit of 40 players. Lions Win 4th In Row Over Buckeye Eleven John Wyant and the other for 13 to end Dave Purselle. Foutz contributed an 18-yard run, while Dickson gained eight on one dash a and Uszynski seven on another.

On the third play of the second period, Dickson took Rod Potter's punt on the dead run and dashed 41 yards down the sidelines for a second score and the Muskies were leading 13-0. DeVilling's kick for extra point was wide. It looked as if the Muskies were going to score again a few minutes later but a 52-yard march was halted on the Denison two by a stubborn Big Red goal line stand. Another Muskie threat just before the half ended was nipped when a pass from Uszynski was deflected by Bill Giffin and bounced high into the arms of Paul Hylbert for an interception on the Big Red 23. The first-half statistics were all in favor of Muskingum, which rolled up 10 downs and 156 yards to no first downs and 28 yards for Denison.

It was a fired-up Big Red team which came out for the second half. After an exchange of punts, Denison launched a 76- yard march, highlighted by a 36- yard run by tailback Denny Price on a bootleg play. Sam White dived over the goal 1 line from one yard out for the score and Dain Birkley added the placekick conversion. Although Denison which uses a single wing formation, had possession of the ball for twothirds of the plays of the final period, it wasn't able 1 to invade Muskingum territory. The Muskies made one scorling bid, which was stifled when a pass by Uszynski was intercepted by Paul Hylbert on his own three.

It was the third Muskie pass to be snagged by Denison. Uszynski completed five for 13 during the game but two were for minus yardage. Two Denison passes were also intercepted, both by safety man Doug Welsh. Big Red passers completed only five of 20. Denison's Denny Price was the day's leading ground gainer with 93 yards in 20 carries.

For the Muskies, rushing honors went to fullback Donn Foutz with 87 yards in 25 carries. Dickson carried 14 times for 40 yards and Wyant, 11 for 36. Muskingum's 179 yards rushing was its lowest mark of the season. The victory avenged last year's 7-6 defeat at the hands of the Big Red and gave the Muskies a clean over sweep the three teams the others were Akron and Waynesburg which beat them last season. The game was marked hard driving line play which contributed to five fumbles, two by the Muskies and three by Denison, but only one resulted in loss of the ball.

That was when Dale Stansbury recovered a Denison bobble in the third period. The end of the game found Muskingum in possession running out the clock with quarterback Uszynski falling with al ball for three plays after the Muskies had taken over on downs after surviving a frantic flurry of passes, seven in all by Denny Price. Muskingum's Rick average 37.8 yards on his six punts of the day. Despite the hard play of the game, there were only two penalties, one against each team. The Nittany Lions, a twotouchdown underdog and carrying a lack-luster 3-4 record to the game against the nation's No. 2 team, dominated play throughout and scored in each period. It was Ohio State's first loss after six victories and the Buckeyes' first shutout since their scoreless tie with Indiana in 1959. Penn State put together first downs while Ohio had five, one by a penalty. The alert Lions pounced on two of Ohio State's three bles and intercepted two of the Buckeyes' 14 passing attempts. Penn State sprung halfback Don Kunit for two second half touchdowns. The defense manhandled the vaunted Buckeye offense throughout, denying it a first down until late in the third period. It wasn't until late in the final period that the Bucks could invade Penn State territory against second-string opposition. The Lions, who won their third straight game following a miserable start, were in command from the beginning to extend their amazing record of never having lost a game to Ohio State.

The non-conference game did not hurt Ohio State's race for the Big Ten title and a Rose Bowl trip, and Purdue's Penn State, powered by a flashy backs, knocked injury ranks with a 27-0 thrashing upsets of the college football at the hands of Michigan State put the Buckeyes in front of the Big Ten race. While a partisan crowd of 279 anxiously awaited the heralded Ohio attack to get in motion, Penn State stopped the Buckeyes with minus 14 yards in the first half, which ended with the Lions leading 14-0. The Lions, scored the second time they had the ball, going 65 yards in eight plays. Penn State fullback Tom Urbanik slammed into the line at the goal and fumbled. The ball squirted into the end zone, where teammate Dirk Nye fell on it for a touchdown.

Placekicker Gerald Sanker kicked the extra point and Ohio State was behind for the first time this year. In the second period, Penn (State got to the Ohio three but an easy field goal attempt from the 10 glanced off Sanker's foot and was wide. The Lions came back in the next series to score, thanks to a brilliant run by Urbanik to the Ohio three. Quarterback Gary Wydman rolled out to pass, but decided to run it over with 8:06 left in the half. Sanker made it 14-0 with his kick, The Lions scored in the third period on a 41-yard drive set up by an interception, with Kunit going over from the three to make it 20-0.

Midway in the fourth period, Penn State marched 63 yards in 10 plays, with Kunit going the final five for the touchdown. at halftime. The scored twice in each of the last two periods. Bee-Gees Champs BOWLING GREEN (UPI) Bowling Green University raced past Marshall 1 28-0 Saturday to win its fifth Mid-American Conference crown in nine years. The Falcons, who stretched their unbeaten string to eight in a row, were assured of the crown after Ohio University was upset by Western Michigan, Wesleyan Victor DELAWARE (UPI) Ohio Wesleyan exploded for its first victory of the season a 29-0 romp over Oberlin in an Ohio Conference battle.

The Bishops, who had lost six straight games, scored 13 points in the second period to hand Yeomen their fourth loss in six games. Xavier Triumphs DAYTON (UPI) Xavier scored two touchdowns in the final five minutes Saturday for a come from-behind, 12-7 victory over Dayton. The Musketeers successfully tried an onside kick and scored their final touchdown with less than two minutes remaining when Jim Davis scored on a 35- yard run. Jackets Win 16-0 TIFFIN (UPI) Baldwin- Wallace held Heidelberg to only one first down Saturday and handed the Student Princes a 16-0 shutout. The Yellow Jackets piled up 321 total yards to only 51 for Heidelberg to record its fifth win in eight starts.

Heidelberg is now 3-4-1. Findlay Winner FINDLAY (UPI) Findlay's Jim Lane scored on a 59-yard punt return, a 60-yard kick off return and a -yard run urday to lead the Oilers to al 29-0 victory over Mount Union. The victory was the Oilers' ninth in ten starts. Mount Union lost its fifth game in eight starts. Central St.

Wins WILBERFORCE (UPI) Sonny Thomas caught five passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to help Central State knock South Carolina State from the unbeaten ranks 20-15. After the losers took a 15-6, lead at the end of the third period Central State delighted a homecoming crowd by scoring two fourth period TD's to grab its second win of the year. 1 84 Frick said the baseball ownalso agreed to the centralization of baseball headquarters, preferably in a two-league city, which would mean New York, Chicago or Los Angeles. (UPI) Harlan Lane, flanker for Baylor's football team, was sought by 68 colleges while playing at Junior College.

Radlinski completed 8 of 17 passes and Ohio, which went to the air frequently in the second half, completed only 6 of 21. The Queen Prevails CHERRY HILL, N.J. Victory was worth $112,854 to Queen Empress while Marshua, supplementary nomination at $5,000, collected $37,618 and Discipline got $18,809.
