Pyle, 77, of Frazeys-burg Route 2, a farmer, died early Monday morning in his home of an apparent heart attack. He was born April 3, 1896, near Chandlersville, a son of Stephen and Jennie McConaha Pyle. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Marguerite Lutes of Sandusky; and two step-sons, Robert Guthridge of 2456 Wilmer street and Earl Guthridge of Sunnyvale, Calif. Born Aug. 20, 1898, in Cambridge, he was a son of Anderson and Elizabeth Paden Ballenger. He was a member of Old Washington Presbyterian Church.

The Society was organized in October, 1973 in conjunction with Ohio Hospital Association. Purpose and objective of the society is to "advance development of effective administration in nursing service in hospitals." Membership in the society is limited to the one nurse in each hospital who is responsible for management of the nursing department. The society is governed by a nine member board of directors, consisting of five officers and one director from each of the four OHA districts.

Part of Hershberger's responsibility as the board representative from Central Ohio district will be to plan and provide nursing section programs in all future OHA central district meetings. He had been a resident here since 1913. Mr. Thompson was employed by Standard Oil Company for 33 years until his retirement in 1963. He attended South Zanesville Wesleyan Church. Surviving are his widow, Alberta Harmon Thompson, of the home; a son, Robert E.

Thursday at Bryan Funeral Home. Huck McCONNELSVILLE Mrs. Berneta 1 L. Huck, 71, of McConnelsvillc Route 3 died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at her home following a long illness.

Born July 22, 1902, in Lowell, she was a daughter of Arthur and Edith Wonderly Hoop. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church of McCon-nclsville and the Catholic Women's Club. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Jean) Clark and Mrs.

(UPI) -John Scali, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, underwent open heart surgery Tuesday to bypass blockages of his coronary arteries.

The 55-year-old Scali was reported recovering "normally and satisfactorily" in the intensive care unit of the Arizona Heart Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital. A spokesman for the ambassador said Scali had suffered circulatory discomfort for a number of months and flew to the institute for a checkup Sunday evening after ex-perienting chest pains. Dr. Edward B.

Diethrich, director of the institute, performed the bypass surgery after diagnostic tests revealed the blockages which reduced the supply of blood to the heart muscle.
