Out door relief was anted to sixty five families during the first two weeks of the month. The opunoil charged this alarming poverty to over emreigration from Great Britain to the labor centers of Canada, The premier. Niw Yoxk, Jan. 19. Further revelations are hourly" being made with, regard to the accounts of the late Henry P. Marshall, for many years the trusted cashier of the Seamen's bank for saving. It now turns out that he is a defaulter for a large amount In all probability the sum will reach $700,000.

Cashier Marshall dropped dead in the Seamen's bank, on the afternoon of November 16, 1888, from heart disease. His son beoame administrator of his father's estate. Shortly after he was qualified J. Pierrepbnt Morgan beoame the treasurer of St. Oeorge church and to him young Mr.

Marshall turned over all the books and papers he found among his father's effects. The eooou nts were all right and everything appeared to be straight as a die, but the securities, the books called for. were missing. As soon as young Mr. Marshall discovered the fine state of affairs, he placed the matter in the hands of Attorney Clarenoe B.

Marshall's accounts with the bank were correct at the time that he dropped dead of heart disease, two months ago. He was seventy four years old and belonged to a family of high standing and there in much oommrnt on the mystery attending the disappearance of the friends. Indianapolis, Jan. 19. The judiciary committee reported adversely on a bill presented by Representative Kelly, providing that oouuties shall pay the coat of prosecuting criminals, but finally Kelly succeeded hi having it referred to another committee. In the senate Boyd offered a proposi tion to amend the constitution providing for the election of not less than five nor more than nine supremo court judges. The present oourt has five members, but is two years behind in its docket. The senate adjourned at 2 p. m.
