Knieger The obituaries and funeral announcements published on these pages have been prepared by friends and family as a tribute to the deceased and as a notice to those who would like to pay their respects. In addition to publication in the Herald Times Reporter, obituaries can be found on our Web site, www.htrnews.com. SSG Amy S. Krueger, age 29, died on Nov. 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, doing what she loved, proudly serving her country. She was born on Aug.

7, 1980, in Sheboygan, daughter of Jeri (Rief) Krueger and David Diem. Amy was a 1998 graduate of Kiel High School. After High School she attended UW-Sheboygan. Immediately after the events of Sept. 11, 2001, she put her school Julie Hacker ing on hold to enlist in the U.S.Army in support close family and friends, her extended military family and all those she touched throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Marilyn Rief; Paul and Jean-nie Krueger; aunts: Karen and Theresa Rief; Uncle Jeff Kutz. Funeral services for Amy will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Kiel High School with the Rev. David Mercer officiating.

Burial will take place in Schleswig Cemetery, Town of Schleswig (Rockville). Family and friends may call at Kiel High School on Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. and on Saturday at the High School from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A Memorial has been established in SSG Amy Kruegers' name at Citizens Bank, 514 Fremont St KieL SSG Krueger gave us her all.

She was on two soft-ball teams this summer and one volleyball team. One of her softball teams took first place at a state tournament in Sparta. Survivors include her parents: Jeri Krueger and David Diem both of Kiel; her adoptive father; Mark (Denise) Krueger of Springfield, her sister Jessica; her brother: Casey, both of Kiel; a step-brother Ryan Turba; step-sisters: Heather Turba: Michelle May, Adri-anne and Stacy Jackson. She is further survived by her grandparents: Jack (Sharon) Rief and Ray and Carolyn Diem, all of Kiel; aunts and uncles: Bill (Sue) Rief; Sue (Mike) Wusterbarth; Steve (Leslie) Diem; Jim Diem; Debbie (Eugene) Kutz-Falle; Dan (Brenda) Krueger; Sara (Timm) Amundson; her special niece: Alicia; and cousins: Stephanie, Theresa, Jacqueline, Emily, Breanna, Taylor, Peyton, Michelle, Morgan, Natalie, Jason, Josh, Jeanna, Jenna, Shaun, Cheyenne and Sierra. Amy is further survived by many SSG Amy S.

Krueger at LTC. In 2008, while pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at UW-Whitewa-ter, Amy volunteered for another mission to Afghanistan. On Oct 11, 2009, she left for that tour of duty and was currently at Fort Hood, preparing for deployment in mid December. Amy was a member of St Peter's UCC in Kiel. She was the first female member of the Kiel VFW Post 6707.

She was an active athlete at Kiel High School and UW Sheboygan. Amy "Kruegs" always enjoyed spending time with of the war on terrorism. After basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, she was stationed in San Antonio, where she graduated as a Mental Health Specialist. In 2003 she was deployed to Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, in support of "Operation Enduring Freedom" She returned home in the summer of 2003 and then continued her schooling at UW-Sheboygan, receiving an Associates Degree in Arts and Science. During that same period of time she also graduated from LTC's EMT program and with honors from the CNA program i y' 1 Julie Hacker Julie Hacker, age 50, of Eau Claire died suddenly on Friday, Oct 30, 2009.

Julie was born March 26, 1959, to Gerald and Dona Otto. She grew up in Eau Claire, where she attended St Bede and graduated from there. She spent many of her younger years making memories and mischief with her lifelong best friend, Laura Strum. A woman of fiery passion and varied interests throughout the years, Julie was a master of the art of homemaking; though her primary love affair in life was, and always will be, with matters of the heart. She was married to Todd Hacker April 22, 1994, and was passionately and deeply devoted to her family through thick and thin.

She taught everyone who knew her a lesson about unconditional love. That was her primary occupation throughout her life's ups and downs. Julie loved card games, casino games, her pets, a heart-to-heart conversation and creating the kinds of crafts Home Interiors would beg to add to their catalog collection. Julie dedicated herself entirely to those she loved. She spent the middle years caring for her children and her late years caring for her parents.

Julie will be sadly, sorely and severely missed. Although the memories of Julie and her love will bring joy, they can never replace Arthur Thomas Chermak at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton. Immediately following the Mass military services will be accorded by the of a friendship as he and Alice traveled around. He served on the Board of Directors for the Green Bay Packers for 27 years.

He was an active Mani VF.W. Otto Oas Post 659, of the presence of such an amazing wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Julie is survived by her husband: Todd; children: Jessica Miller (Charles Newberry), Sean Deardorff, Jessie (Brandon) McNett and Tiffany Hacker; grandchildren: Austin and Naomi Newberry; sister: Jamie (David) Otto-Coenen; brother: Jon (Sally) Otto; lifelong best friend: Laura Strum; and niece, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother: Dona, on June 15, 2009; and her father Gerald, on Oct. 29, 2009.

A celebration of her life was held Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at Evergreen Funeral Home. Interment was at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery Evergreen Funeral Home Crematory assisted the family Herald Times Reporter Nov. 11, 2009 towoc community member.

Art was born in Manitowoc on Nov. 13, 1920, to Regina Bonk Chermak and Emil Chermak.

He attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1938. On Jan. 26, 1946, he married Anna Mae Knox and she preceded him in death in Sept. of 1947. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Alice Marie Simons, whom he married on May 20, 1950 in Lima, Ohio.

Arthur was inducted into the service in October of 1942 and served in the 127th date. Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday Nov. 13, 2009. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

We would like to thank the numerous people who supported Art and his family through his illness. Thank you to Dr. Baatz and Dr. Manitowoc County Bank from 1965-1988. Art was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Elk's Club, Manitowoc Yacht Club, and Branch River Country Club.

Along with his wife, Alice, he is survived by his four children: Dr. James Chermak, his wife Leslie and daughter Jessica of Grafton, Chris Honzik, her husband Peter and children Alison Coulson of Madison; Coulson of Milwaukee; and Anna Honzik of Manitowoc; Ann Zimmer and her husband Dr. Donald Zimmer and their children Sara Pillsbury, Jeff, and Katherine of Englewood, and Tom Chermak, David J. Eichhorst general hospital during World Warn. Art and Alice were soul-mates for 59 years. You would never see one without the other. One of their passions was travel. Along with their trips to Europe, they traveled across the country in their motor home, making friends wherever they went. For many years, they enjoyed their getaways to Door County.

They spent winters in Scottsdale, where they also formed many lasting friendships. Together they raised four children, Jim, Chris, Ann and Tom, who were his pride and joy and supported him through his illness. Art was a true Green Bay Packers fan and would seldom be seen without proudly wearing the Packers emblem on his shirt. He attended Super Bowl II in Miami and was there at the infamous "Ice Bowl" game in 1967. His 1996 Super Bowl ring was often the opener for a conversation and the start Schmidt of Whitelaw; and a brother: Mark (Lori) Eichhorst of Howards Grove.

David is also survived by his maternal grandparents: Flc-rian and Lorraine Hill of Manitowoc; his nieces and nephews, Tracy, Eric, Kyle, Skyler, and Brady; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Cremation will take place with a private family service. Inurnment will be at Knollwood Memorial Park. Wieting Funeral Home of Reedsville is assisting the family David was a quiet person and he was good to his family. He will be sadly missed.

Herald Times Reporter Nov.11,2009 David J. Eichhorst, Bril-lion, age 48, passed from this life on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, unexpectedly at his home. David was born on Dec. 20, 1960, in Manitowoc son of Donald and Patricia Eichhorst.

He attended St. John St. James Lutheran School in Reedsville and Reedsville High School. David also attended Acme Tool and Die Design Engineering School. He worked at Federal Mogel for some years until he became disabled.

David's loves in life were fishing and hunting, which he lived for. He is survived by his mother and father: Pat and Donald Eichhorst of Reedsville; a sister: Julie Thank you to the caring staff's at Holy Family Memorial Hospital and Home Care, and River's Bend Rehabilitation Center who comforted him and his family. He is also survived by his son in-law, Noah Pills-bury, and great grandchildren Emma and Sienna Pillsbury. He is also survived by his sister: Betty Hoefner, and her husband, Merlyn Hoefner, of Manitowoc. Five nieces and nephews; Judy Culligan, Margaret Miller, Elizabeth Becker, Greg Hoefner, and Chuck Hoefner and their families also survive Arthur. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov.

14, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo. Officiating was stationed in England and France and was discharged in December of 1945. He was instrumental in the creation of Cher-Make Sausage Company; which he and his father started in 1928. In the early days, he helped out by making sausage deliveries on a scooter for his father.

During his high school days, he spent much of his time at the sausage company as it was growing. Eventually, he took over the company when it moved to its present location on Calumet Ave. Over the years, he was an active member of the meat industry including being a member of the Board of Directors of the American Meat Institute and a member of the National Independent Meat Packers Association. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Pastor Scott Stevens with military rites to follow by the VFW Otto Oas Post No. 659.
