Polachek, who was junior high athletic director for the past few years, succeeds Rod Gale, who resigned from the position during the summer. Polachek coached cross country, track and girls basketball in the past year, but will only coach boys and girls track in the coming school year.

A search Is already underway to find a new cross country coach. Polachek is running the program in the interim. P.C. cross country practice PORT CLINTON Any high school student interesting in running cross country for Port Clinton High School should report to the high school on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 6:30 p.m.

for practice. Athletes should bring both their physical cards and contracts to the first practice. Danbury.cross country meeting LAKESIDE The first meeting for anyone interested in running cross country for Danbury High School will be held this Monday, Aug. 11 at 8 a.m. at the high school.

P.C. men's softball meeting PORT CLINTON A meeting of all players of the Port Clinton Men's Softball League will be held Monday, Aug. 11 at the Port Clinton High School fields immediately following the league consolation tournament.
