FRIDAY, JULY 8, 1955 THE MARION STAR, MARION, OHIO PAGE 11 Deaths and Funerals Mrs. Louis Kurtzman CRESTLINE Mrs. Matilda Kurtzman, 67, wife of Louis Kurtzman of Crestline, died at 3:30 a. m. today in Emergency Hospital.

She was ill nine months. Born May 29, 1888, at Hinesville, she was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Hyler marriage was Sept. She' was a member. of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Surviving with her husband are two children, Walter Kurtzman and Mrs. Frank Feick, both of Crestline; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church.

Rev. J. B. Fralick will officiate, Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Garverick Funeral Home after Saturday noon. William T. Humbert CAREY William. T. Humbert, 62.

of Carey, died at 6:05 a.m. today in Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. He was admitted to the hospital at 10 p.m. yesterday. married to Golda Mae Cole, who died March 24, 1946.

Surviving are: one son, Robert of Milwaukee, one brother and two sisters. The body is at the Goff Funeral Home here and ararngements are pending the arrival of the son. Mrs. George Nickell GALION Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist Church at Harper for Mrs. Sarah Catherine Nickell, mother of Mrs.

Lee Hottenroth and Delbert Nickell of Galion. Interment was in the Harper Cemetery by the Eichholtz Funeral Home of Bellefontaine. Mrs. Nickell died Monday at 5 a.m. in Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.

She had been in ill health for the last four years. Mrs. Nickell was preceded in death by her husband, George. She is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Perry Reese of West Liberty, and by three other sons, Philander of Bellefontaine, Emil of Clyde and George Nickell of Perrysburg.

A brother and a sister, 15 grandchildren and 27 greatgrandchildren also survive. Mrs. William H. Butler CRESTLINE Mrs. Elizabeth Crosby Butler, 72, wife of William Henry Butler of Crestline, died at 10 p.m.

Thursday in Emergency Hospital. She was ill a week. Born June 17, 1882, she was a native of Chantan in Ontario, Canada." Her marriage was in 1906. A resident of Crestline since 1939, she came here from Detroit, where she was a member of the Israel Church of God. Surviving with her husband are two children, Richard James of Crestline, a son by a former marriage, and Robert A.

Thursday in the home of her mother, Mrs. Laura Shackelford, in Bucyrus. She had come to Bucyrus in February from Marietta because of the illness. Born Aug. 9, 1905, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Walter and Laura Shackelford who were Salvation Army officers also.

They were in charge of the Marion Salvation Army Corps from through 1931. The father died in April, 1952. 3, 1934, she married John W. Ward who died Jan. 16, 1937.

After attending Salvation Army Training College in New York City, she served in Salvation Army posts 26 years including Bucyrus from 1934 to 1945. During that time the present Bucyrus Citadel was erected. She had served also in Cincinnati and Athens. In the fall of 1953 she was in charge of the Marion Citadel for a time while Capt. Mary Nisiewicz, head Marion officer, attended officers training school in London, England.

During the annual Christmas effort of 1952 and 1953 she assisted at the Marion Citadel and last summer stationed temporarily at Marietta. Surviving with her mother are her daughter, Miss Ruth E. Ward at home; and two brothers and three sisters, Hughey Shackelford of West Cabina, Richard Shackelford, Miss Esther Shackelford and Mrs. Harold Williams, all of Bucyrus, and Mrs. Robert Stoddard of A brother preceded her in Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m.

in the Bucyrusu Citadel. Major William Chamberlain and Rev. Harry Swartz will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Bucyrus. Friends may call at the Lutz Funeral Home in Bucyrus Saturday and Sunday nights.

Carey Youngster Hurt In Fall Beneath Truck CAREY Terry Kitzler, twoyear-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kitzler of Carey, has been returned to his home after being treated for injuries suffered Wednesday night when he fell beneath the front wheel of his father's truck. The youngster suffered a fractured right hip and was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was returned to his home yesterday afternoon.

Mrs. Kitzler said the accident occurred when the boy heard his father's truck approaching and ran out to the road to meet him. The youngster stumbled and fell beneath the right front wheel and was pinned between the wheel and the pavement. The male Kodiak, bear weighs around 1,500 pounds while the polar bear's weight runs around patrick. 1,100 pounds.

She died Monday afternoon at her home in Worthington. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Worthington, Mrs. Waitley was a former resident of Wyandot County. Other survivors are a brother daughter. Funeral Services Mrs.

E. L. Jefferson, burial Grove Cemetery, Kenton. Friends may call at the funeral home. Dean Robert Strickler Dies in Cuyahoga Falls Funeral services were held Tuesday at Cuyahoga Falls for Dean Robert Strickler, 46, former Caledonia resident and of Rev.

and Mrs. R. F. Strickler of Kirkpatrick. His death occurred July 1 when he suffered a heart attack at his home.

He was plant manager of the General Metal Products Co. of Cuyahoga Falls, a division of the General Tire Rubber Co. Born in Chester, W. he attended grade school in Caledonia where his father was pastor of the Church of Christ for a time then was graduated from high school at Cadillac, Mich. A resident of Cuyahoga Falls 30 years, he operated a filling station before employment with the General Metal Products Co.

14 years ago. He had been plant manager six years. A sports enthusiast, he was a member of the Valley View Gun Club and he was a member of the Elks Lodge at Kent, of the Fraternal Order of Police Associates of Cuyahoga Falls, of the Akron Rubber Group and Cuyahoga Falls Chamber of Commerce. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jeanne Morette Strickler, and his son, Robert Dean Strickler, 10; his father who is retired pastor of the Kirkpatrick Church of Christ; his mother; his brother, John Strickler of Marysville; and his sister, Mrs.
