Jamies Hughes took the loss for Paint Valley, which slipped to 0-3 overall and in the Scioto Valley Conference. He was also 2-for-3 at the Josh Maynard added a 2-for-3 performance for Paint Valley. Piketon scored twice in the first inning to take a 2-0 lead, but Lucasville Valley took control in the second with two runs, followed by one in the third and eight in the fourth. Piketon added another run in the fourth and two in the fifth before Valley scored three times in the bottom of the frame to end the game on the 10-run mercy rule. "We're still not making the routine plays to get out of innings," Piketon coach Steve Chester said. There's still at least one more high school hoops game left on the schedule, and it's happening Sunday at Capital University in Columbus, the site of this year's annual Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association North-South All-Star Game.

And it features some local Diehl will hit the floor one final time as a prepster.
