Huges, daughter of County Commissioner and Mrs. E. R. Hughes of New Lexington, became the bride of Wendell E. Hess, son of Mr.

and Mts. W. H. Hess of Columbus, in a ceremony solemnized New Lexington Methodist church Saturday, September 11. "Rev.

E. A. Rodeheffer officiated. The bride is a graduate of New Lexington's high school and White Cross School of Nursing in Columbus. The bridegroom is an Ohio State university student.

The couple is living at 447 Burgess avenue, Columbus. Genevieve Samborski, Louis Hoffer Exchange Marriage Vows Thursday Marriage vows were exchanged at 8:30 o'clock Thursday morning in St. Nicholas Catholic church by Miss Genevieve Samborski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex SamborZanesville, Route 3, and Louis T.

Hoffer, son of Mr. Walter Hoffer of 1427 Wheeling avenue. Rev. Father Francis Schweitzer read the single ring service. Bouquets of white gladioli graced the altar, and bouquets of blue and white blossoms were used on the side altar.

Glowing tapers lighted the scene. Sprays of huck. leberry caught in white bows marked the pews. The traditional wedding marches and "Ave Maria" and "Panis Angelicus" were used during the ceremony. The bride was gowned in a gown of white organdy and marquisette styled with an oval yoke edged in lace.

The bodice was fitted and the skirt was caught up in front to reveal rows of lace. The full train was edged in lace, and her finger-tip length veil fell from an arrangement of pearlized orange blossoms. She carried a handkerchief belonging to Miss Olga Saad, and wore a single strand of pearls, The bride's bouquet was a white orchid circled with feathered carnations, baby breath and tulle tips. She was given in marriage by 1 her brother, Joseph Samborski, As maid of honor, Miss Laverne Gogol of Washington, wore pale yellow chiffon dress with square neck, dropped shoulders and a full skirt, In her hair she wore a halo of yellow blossoms from which fell a shoulder-length vell. She carried a bouquet of yellow and bronze daisy mums.

Robert N. Hoffer of 610 Dryden road was best man. The guests were shown to their seats by Rob. ert Guinsler, and Charles Staley, Jr. The bride's mother wore a black gabardine suit with matching accessories and a corsage of gardenias.

The bridegroom's mother wore a beige suit with brown accessories. Her corsage also was of gardenias. A breakfast for the bridal party and the immediate families was served following the ceremony, A reception for 125 guests held from 2 until 4 o'clock in the afternoon at the home of the bridegroom's parents. Assistants were Mrs. Charles Staley, Mrs.

Rob. ert Guinsler, Mrs. Blair McLaughlin, Miss Marilyn Hoffer and Miss Mary Catherine Hoffer. When the couple left for a wedding trip to Chicago and the Northwest, the bride was wearing a gray suit with black accessories and the orchid from her bouquet. The newlyweds will make their home at 511 McConnell avenue.

The former Miss Samborski was graduated from St. Nicholas school and is a member of that church. She is a member of the Timher Run grange and is employed in the payroll department of the W. M. Finck company.
