The members of ths Epworth league of the Berry Street M. E. church have started a fund to buy a memorial window for the mew church building at the corner of Wayne and Lafayette streets. A considerable sum has already been collected and a specially" designed cathedral window will be purchased. FIRST UNION PICNIC.

Ths first annual union picnic of the Sunday schools of the Christian churches of Allen county will be held In Swinney park tomorrow morning and afternoon. The children of the nine Christian Sunday schools of the county will assemble at the West Jefferson street Church of Christ at 10 o'clock a. m. and will march to the park, where the days program will be carried out. There will be a program of field sports, dinner at noon and In the afternoon there will be a program of addresses by a number of county Sunday school workers.

BISHOP GETS AN EAGLE. Bishop Aleruing has received a handsome present from Rev. Father Benedict, of near Whiting, in the shape of a 'handsomely mounted specimen of an American eagle, measuring eight fset from tip to tip. While out hunting Father Benedict was attacked by the bird and he sue ceeded In capturing it after a hard struggle, in which he was badly clawed and pecked. Father Benedict turned the bird loose in his hencoop, having no other place to put it, and it killed off Ms entire stock of poul try.

The bird was shot a few days later and Father Benedict had it mounted and presented it to the bishop. The Bloomington, 111., Bulletin has the following account of the marriage of Miss Margaret Frances O'Neill of that city, and Daniel William Kane, of Indianapolis, son of James M. Kan, of Fort Wayne: "This morning at 7:00, at the cathedral in Indianapolis, occurred the marriage of Miss Margaret Fran ces O'Neill, of this, city, to Daniel William Kane, of Tndlanepoli High mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Clenimons, an intimaate friend of the groom. The attendants were Miss Grace O'Neill, sister of the bride, and George Walsh. The bride was tutWred In white Paris muslin and carried American beauty roses.

The bride is a vivacious young lady, of sunny disposition and very attractive. She is the daughter of Mrs. Mary O'Neill, of 004 North Center street, and one of Blooming ton's most prominent families. Mr. Kane i traveling salesman for KIpp one of the largest wholesale houses in Indianapolis.

He is the son of James M. Kane, of Fort Wayne, and a highly respected citizen. The bildial party left on a trip to the lakes. They will be at home to friends Bloomington after August 15. Their many friends wish them much success in their new voyage.
