mELIA ODELL'S Columns Former Local Beauty Misses daughter of Mrs. L. D. Murphy, theans, was runner -up for the title which will represent that city in this week in Oklahoma City. Selected for the honor was Sidney Schmoyer, according to a clipping of the El Reno Daily Tribune sent to the Gazette by Mrs.

S. K. Hupp, who lives at Reformatory Circle, El Reno, Okla. Writes Mrs. Hupp: "I am sure friends of Pat Murphy and her family will be interested in this announcement.

Since Chillicothe was our home, too, we are always interested in her residents. We like living in El Reno very much, but must admit that we certainly miss the Gazette." The Tribune carried a three column picture showing Pat with Miss Schmoyer, (wearing swim costumes), and Ralph Myers a member of the El Reno Jaycees, sponsors of the talentbeauty contest. Miss Schmoyer will compete with nine other state entries for the "Miss Oklahoma" title and entry to the annual "Miss America" contest this year at Atlantic City.
