Schneider, 150 E. Seventh are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Gail, to Mr. Paul J. Junk, son of Mr. and Mrs.

H. C. Junk, 319 Piatt Ave. Miss Schneider is a 1954 graduate of Catholic Central High School. Mr.

Junk, a graduate of Georgia Military Academy, College Park, attended the University of Miami, Coral Gables, where he was affiliated with Gamma Epsilon Fraternity. Both are employed at the Goodyear Atomic Corp. Reduction of weight should be slow two to five pounds a month if you want to prevent wrinkles and baggy skin. Mrs. Carter and Everett received generous applause.

Supt. H. T. Darst Hunt(ington Schools introduced Mrs. Ranald Wolfe, director of music, who presented 72.

of her fifth sixth grade pupils in a program of 17 songs and two dance numbers. The fifth graders sang seven numbers, as did the sixth, and the two combined on three numbers. Special numbers were given by soloist, Dan Clegg, a Huntington freshman, who was also assisted by the combined fifth-sixth group in a couple of numbers. Special dances were performed by Sue Crain and Karen Hau- Study Group 3 Entertained by Mrs. Ackley Mr.

Robert Steel, chairman of Study Group 3, Ross County Farm Bureau, announced all standing committees of the group will be retained for the ensuing year, Tuesday evening, when 20 members met at Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ackley's home on Route 104. A covered dish supper preceded the meeting. Mrs.

Ackley was appointed to serve with Mrs. Fred Simon as representative to the Farm Bureau Women's Activities Committee. Discussion topics for 1955 were outlined by Mr. Howard Duvall, discussion leader. Mrs.

Otto Haubeil read the Christmas story from Luke. Readings from the book, "Here and There," were "Christmas given by: Mrs. in Mrs. Philip Dunlap, "Christmas with the American Navaho Indians," and Mrs. Marion Share.

An exchange of Christmas gifts followed. Kindergarten Mothers Meet Kindergarten Mothers Club of the Frankfort School met Monday evening at the school. Simulated snowflakes and decorations by the youngsters were featured in the kindergarten room where the meeting was held. Mrs. Duane Brum presided at the business session.

Mrs. Ralph Junk reported on new equipment, including a wagon, record album, Christmas records and a screen for the doll corner. A committee composed of Mrs. Leslie Lane, Mrs. Joe Acton and Mrs.

Charles Berry showed a movie, "Food as Children See It." The movie stressed that small portions which are palatable and attractive should be served to children and that proper equipshould be provided. Mrs. Maynard Cunningham fashioned decorations for the home and gift packages, and described gifts which can be made for youngsters. Committee for the next meetling, Feb. Mrs.

A dessert course at 7 o'clock preceded the program. The room and tables were decorated in keeping with the Yuletide. Miss Marie Haynes was in charge of the program. Norman Clark sang a group of Christmas songs, with Mrs. Leland Puttcamp it the piano.

Mrs. Charles M. Haynes, president, conducted a brief business session. A Christmas gift of money was contributed to the Children's Receiving Home. Plans were made to send poinsettias to ill members.

Mrs. John Wilson read. the story, "The Shepherd Stayed Behind." The program closed with group singing of Christmas hymns, Judge Stevens Shows Slides For Farm Group Study Group 1 of the Ross County Farm Bureau assembled Tuesday evening at the Warner Hotel for a buffet dinner in celebration of the holiday season. Mrs. George Hamman, Mrs.

Forrest Pancake and Mrs. Reginald Blue were in charge of arrangements. Thirty-one members were present and guests included Judge and Mrs. Kenneth Stevens, and Mr. and Mrs.

Paul Gearhart and Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Hughes with Mr. Carl Gearhart.

Mr. F. G. McCollister, chairman, introduced Judge Stevens who showed pictures of his trips to Alaska, via the Alcan Highway, and to Colorado. Brewer Heights Club Entertains At Christmas Tea Brewer Heights Garden Club had a Christmas tea Tuesday afternoon at Mrs.

Irving S. Gharky's home, Fruit Hill Drive. Traditional holiday decorations were throughout the house. White chrysanthemums, red carnations and red tapers were the centerpiece of the tea table. Mrs.

Walter Brewer, Mrs. Walter L. Hughes, Mrs. Lloyd Davis and Mrs. Walter C.

Young Jr. poured. The hostess committee included Mrs. Gharky, Mrs. H.

H. Kenny, Mrs. Clyde. Jenkins, Mrs. Hugh Hilliard and Mrs.

Lorel Myers. Forty-five members and guests were present. The guests included the following representatives of Ross County Federation of Garden Clubs: Mrs. Hughes, regional director of District 9: Mrs. F.

G. McCollister, Clarksburg; Mrs. Jay Kegg, Allen Avenue; Mrs. Marvin Jones, Mt. Pleasant; Mrs.

Rondeau Counts, Liberty; Mrs. J. W. Sharrer, Mrs. Oren Schmieder, Mrs.

Charles Ludwig, Mrs. Leonard Growdon, Story Place; and Mrs. Clarence Root, Mrs. Frank Maloney, Additional guests were Edward Jackson, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Henry Menke, Exeter, Neb.

Mrs. Youngs gave the legends of several Christmas flowers. Food donations were taken by each member for Christmas baskets for needy families. Mrs. Lorel Myers and Mrs.

Horace M. Clay are in charge of delivering the baskets. Auxiliary to Meet Members of the Capt. G. W.

Brandle Auxiliary to United Spanish War Veterans will exchange gifts at the party to be given in connection with their regular meeting at 1:30 p. Friday, at the VFW Hall. The chairman announced the next meeting will be Jan. 11 at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

PanI cake. Frankfort. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Hicks were honored guests at a surprise dinner party given Sunday by their children at the Hicks home, Clarksburg.

Poplar will celebrate their 50th wedding, anniversary on Saturday, They were married on that date in Circleville, but have lived here for more than 40 years. Mrs. Wolfe. former Amanda Chilcoat, was 67 last June. Mr.

Wolfe, who will be 71 on Jan. 14, was a carman until his retirement in 1951. He has been bedfast for the last three years. A family dinner at the Wolfe home will mark the anniversary. Mr.

and Mrs. Wolfe have six daughters; Mrs. Viola Wadazy, Detroit. Miss Dorothy Wolfe, at home; Mrs. Ralph (Isabelle) Parker, near Williamsport; Mrs.

Berl (Helen) Mitchell, near Waverly; Mrs. Marguerite Davis, Adams and Mrs. Nick (Irma Jean) Alongi of Detroit. All except Mrs. Alongi expect to be present.
