DEATHS and FUNERALS Mrs. Maude Parsons Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Holloway' Funeral Home for Mrs. Maude M. Parsons, 69,of 821 Johnson St. Mrs, Parsons died Monday In Peninsula General Hospital after a long illness. The Rev. John Parrv of the First Church of the Nazarene will otnciate. interment will be in Parsons Cemetery. Mrs. Parsons retired about 10 years ago after 31 years employment with the Sunshine Laundry here. She was born in Salisbury and was a daughter of the late Elijah and Cornelia Phippin Moore. Surviving are a. daughter, Mrs. Anthony K. bemeler Jr., Salisbury; a sister and three brothers, Mrs. Rethel Davis and Irvin and Horace Moore all of Salisbury, and Kenny Moore, Delmar; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Maryland Soldier Killed In Vietnam WASHINGTON . (AP) - The Department of Defense said Monday that Army W. 0. 1 William F. Actor, Brother Of City Man, Is Dead Worthington Thompson of 100 Lakeview Drive, management consultant and former director of the Delmarva Advisory Coun cil, is tne only immediate survivor of John Dall, Hollywood and Broadway actor. Mr. Dall, who did not use the name of Thompson in his acting career, died Friday in his HV-lywood home of a heart attack. Mr. Thompson said today that his brother had never fully re covered from a fall last Octo ber in London. The 50-year-old actor was in Europe on business at the time. Mr. Dall's role in 1945 with Bette Davis in "The Corn Is Green" won him a nomination for an Academy Award. He was also among the stars in Alfred Hitchcock's "Rope", filmed in 1949. He had a lead ing roles in such Broadway Mark", "Dear Ruth" and "Red Gloves". Mr. Dall was born in New York City and was a son of the late Charles and Henry Worth ington Thompson. His grandfa-ther was the late Dall Worthing ton of Baltimore County. Surviving, in addition to Mr. Thompson, are two nephews, John and Derek, both of Sal isbury. Mr. Thompson is plan ning a memorial service for his brother. There was no funeral service because' Mr. Dall had donated his body to medical science. Suit Filed Here In Motel Dispute A Catonsville man has filed suit in Wicomico County Circuit Court for $20,000, claiming that he was wrongfully accused of failing to pay a motel bill. The plaintiff is Rodney Faulkner. Tne suit has been brought against William R. Anger of the Sandman Motel on N. Salisbury Blvd. The declaration says that Anger preferred the charge against Faulkner claiming that he owed $200 for motel room rent. According to the suit, the charges of failing to discharge a debt and obtaining the motel's services by false pretense were dismissed by Peoples Court Judge Thelma C. Duffy. The suit contends the charge was made from malice and that there was no reasonable and probable cause.
