Mrs. Rice Leads Class Devotions "Giving Thanks at Thanksgiving'' was the topic of the devotions presented by Mrs. Forrest Riceat the meet ng of the A. and H. class of F.rst Evangelical United Brethren church Tuesday evening at the church.

Mr. Rice presided at the business session in the absence of the president, Mr. Robert Page. A social hour followed and refreshments were served. The committer for the evening was composed of Mr.

and Mrs. David Butts, Mi. and Mrs. Rici and Mr. and Mrs.

Warren Hall. A Christmas banquet will be held at the December meeting at the church. Couple Marks Anniversary Fiftieth weddiiig anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. meon Hoy was marked at a family dinner Sunday at their home in Laurelville.

The couple was married on Nov. 11, 1900, at the home of the Rev. James Milhon, r.ear McArthur. Mrs. Any is mc former Lillian E.

Turner of near South Bloom-ingville. For n.sny years Mr. Hoy was a blacksmith in and near, Laurelville where they have spent all their married life. Helping to cekbrate the occasion Sunday wre the couple's three daughters, Mrs. Opal Miller of Lancaster, the Misses Leoca of the Vigo Baptist church met Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs.

James Tweed in Vigo- Mrs. Dudley Brown was the assistant hostess. Mrs. Vernon Borders, president, opened the meeting with a prayer. The topic of the study lesson was "A Song of Thanksgiving." Each member gave a reading.

Mrs. E. Jenkins, treasurer, reported on the proceeds from a chicken supper held recently at the church. Committees lor the party are: tickets and publicity, Mr. John Webb; food, Miss Mary Martha Brown, Miss Mary Childers and Miss Joan McHugh; and cleanup, Mr. Glenn Chester and Mr. Robert Oakes. Chorus Cancels Rehearsal Mothersingers Chorus of the City PTA will not meet for its weekly rehearsal Monday.

During the holiday season, the group will meet every other 1 Monday. Jntroduced by the Rev. John B. Taylor, Dr. Wolfe spoke on "Spiritual Resources for Health." The response was given by Mrs- John A.
