FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, Sorority Head Inspects Local Unit Mrs. Pearl McBroom of Pine Village, supreme president of Delta Sigma Kappa sorority, held an inspection for 22 members of Alpha Lambda chapter Thursday evening in the InterSorority Council rooms. Following the opening song, led by the president, Mrs. Reese Fletcher, a report on the last Inter-Sorority Council meeting was by Mrs. Paul Oberer James Haubeil.

Mrs. Frank T. Marr welcomed the audience, on behalf of the club, and introduced Mrs. Berry, who served as moderator. In her introductory remarks, Mrs.

Berry paid tribute to the late Miss Mary Smith, long-time member of the Chillicothe high school faculty, and noted that the students taking part in the program had studied 'Julius Caesar" under Miss Smith. Mrs. Berry taught the same students as freshmen and again in their junior year. Mrs. Berry outlined the background of the course of study of Shakespeare and the play, "Julius Caesar," and, as introductory matter, read excerpts the book, "To Meet Will Shakespeare." Annamae Grogan, June Harrington, Marilyn Caldwell, June Hatten, Mary Pinnix, Janet Hixon, Martha Jean Gerber, Janet Goldsberry, John Chandler, James Butt, Gary Dill, Phil Placier and Leon Winget combined in giving highlights of reports on Shakespeare and his time they had prepared for school work.

Shakespeare's influence on the English language, the controversy over authorship of plays attributed to him, the history of the Elizabethan theater, including display and explanation of two model theaters with character reproductions, the rhythmic pattern used by The Bard, and the structure of the drama, were included in the points covered by the group. Memory passages from important scenes of "Julius Caesar" were recited and acted by boys of the group. Climax of the evening was the presentation of the same scenes in a sound movie, with Leo Genn playing the role of Anthony. The film was supplied through the courtesy of the visual education department of the State Department of Education. Jimmy Dotson played vibraharp numbers before the pro- gram.

Valentine Party Follows Lodge Meeting Mrs. Curtis Jones presided at the regular meeting of Adelphi Temple Pythian Sisters lodge, Tuesday night in the K. of P. hall at Adelphi. It was reported $43.14 had been realized from a recent bake sale and plans for a rummage sale were discussed.
