The ceremony was performed by the Rev. O. W. Stockman at his home. Mrs.

and Mrs. Glenn Lyons, Route 7. For her wedding the bride chose a gray suit with black accessories, and a white velour hat. A corsage of white carnations at her shoulder completed her costume. Mrs.

Glenn Lyons, Route and Mrs. Dale Oyer, East Second street, were the couple's only attendants. The bride was graduated from Sam Houston high school, Dallas, Tex. and has been employed at the Bell Telephone Co. in Cincinnati.

Sgt. Thornton was graduated from Huntington high school and has just returned home after serving months in Korea. The couple will live on Route 7 until Jan. 5 when Sgt. Thornton reports Mrs.

Boden Is Hostess Woman's Society of Christian Service of Crouse Chapel met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. George Boden, 197 Wes. Main street. The meeting opened group singing of the "First Noel." Miss Lillian Rihl called the roll and read the minutes A special offering from the week of prayer and self denial was received. The plan to donate food and clothing to the Salvation Army was approved.

Mrs. Edward Arledge led the devotions. "Eacb Offered His Best" was the program topic presented by Mrs. Russell Carmean. Mrs.

Carmean also read a letter from an American missionary in Korea. Mrs. Mary Immell read three poems: "Christmas Eve," "It's Christmas" and "Christmas Carol." A contest was conducted by Mrs. Alex Wilson. Mrs.

Howard Immell read a letter from an adopted mission child at Scarlet Oaks home in Cincinnati. The group decided to send two sickbed tables to her for Christmas. The meeting closed with the singing of "Silent Night" and the benediction. Mrs. Lee Dumm, Mrs.

C. A. Hertenstein and Mrs. John Clim er, who was accepted as a new member, were guests. The hostess, assisted by Mrs.

Dr. Herschel Nisonger reviewed the of the Ohio commission in stimulating action in the counties, the work of the White House Conference. Summation of surveys was given through films on "Children and Youth at the Midcentury" made by Life magazine and narrated by Clifton Fadiman as a public service to the conference. Each county gave a report of its progress and ideas were exchanged by delegates. Miss Mildred Rankin, assistant executive secretary of the commission, who has worked with various youth the importance of youth particithe imoprtance of youth participation in all activities that concern them.

She urged that youth be included in county program planning. At the close of the conclave, Mr. Gordon Crowe presented "blueprints" recommended by that state committees for use in the counties. Bible Class Has Christmas Party Capt. McKee Bible class of Walnut Street Methodist church met Tuesday evening for a covered disn dinner and Christmas party at the church.

The 32 members and guests were seated at tables decorated with Christmas greenery and lighted tapers. The Rev. John B. Taylor gave the invocation. Mrs.

Ethel Greenbaum read a Christmas story and offered prayer. The dinner committee included Mrs. Edward Ludwig. Mrs. Roy Higgins, Mrs.

Ida Ludwig, Miss Virgie Cook and O. B. Oyer. Miss Cook conducted the business meeting. and the group approved a contribution to the Salvation Army.

Kegg is chairman of the January luncheon meeting to be held at the Lynne House. Mr Mrs. Otis Cottrill and Miss Pauline Wheeland of Tucson were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Gray of Mooresville.
