IF YOU WERE APPROACHED On a business matter from which you expected to reap large gain, very likely you would give your caller a careful hearing. It is strange that some otherwise well poised men will listen to all sorts of schemes covering air-ships to eye water (mines, of course); will give lots of time to promoters- will put thousands into questionable enterprises, and trust to "luck;" but when life insurance is mentioned, forgetful of family or old age, will immediately become petrified. When approached by an agent of the Equitable on this all important subject, a few minutes of your time may be worth thousands of dollars to you or your family. There is no such a thing as "luck" in the proposition he has to submit; no element of uncertainty connected with -it's a "sure thing." whether you live or die. It might pay you to turn a deaf ear to the promoter, and listen to agent's story.
