There will be a fellowship coffee at 9:30, and the meeting at 10:00. Women In 168 countries will be praying around the theme "Alert in our Time" Mrs. Robert J. Tritton, president of Church Women United, said the small group of women who first initiated World Day of Prayer in 1887 firmly believed that the mission work for which they were responsible needed their support in prayer as much as in giving. This small group was praying for the world, she said, today "the movement has become international and Christian women are praying with other Christians throughout the whole world." The theme of the 1973 prayer observance "Alert In our Time" expresses the intention of women to he aware of the crucol needs in the world and to be agents of God's reconciling love in those areas, Mrs. Tritton said. Lt. Colonel Harlan Cleveland, The Salvation Army's divisional commander for the state of Florida, will be the guest speaker. Mrs. Tritton invited the public to attend this Church Women United Observance, but aald ail women are especially invited. Special invitations have been sent to area ministers. A nursery will be provided, it was announced. 'Ballet And Vaudeville' At Carrabelle CARRABELLE — The Monticello Opera Company will present an evening of "Ballet and Vaudeville", at 7:S0 p.m. Thursday in the old Carrabelle High School. Tickets will be on box office on the evening of the performance. Memberships In the Monticello Opera Company's Dollar- A-Month-Club also still can be obtained. While the price at box office rate will be $4. per adult and S2. per student, prices In the Dollar-A-Month-CIub membership series are less, opera company officials said. These memberships also can be obtained by writing to the Montlcello Opera Company, P. O. Box 5452, Tallahassee 32302. The ballet portion of the program will be presented by the newly-founded Tallahassee Civic Ballet, Helen Salter, director. This organization formed in November 1972, consists of 17 company members and 10 apprentice members. The Civic ballet's announced aim Is "to give all talented and hard working ballet students more opportunity to perform In public:" Carrabelle < residents have been Informed that four musicians were chosen from auditions held recently, to perform in the vaudeville show. They are Yvonne Jackson, Mack Nelson, Richie Gilbert and Jeff Craig. "It is hoped, that a large audience will attend, and give these gifted folk singers a rousing welcome to professionalism," a spokesman said.
