That's Early Crowd Guess By Officials By CHARLIE WADSWORTH Staff Writer Walt Disney World put its $400 million Magic Kingdom show on the road today and the opening went off as smooth as silk, and everybody, is happy. Fearful that what appeared to be a backlog of traffic on Interstate 4 and Hwy. 192 was the jam officials had predicted, Disney officials opened the turnstiles two hours earlier than previously planned. BY THE originally scheduled 10 a.m. opening time more than 2,000 persons had streamed into the theme park area, but the first day turnout was increasing steadily as noon approached.

Disney officials made an early guess of 12,000 for opening day. Official attendance figures will not be available, a spokesman said, until after the theme park closes at 6 p.m. Disney officials ordered security guards to direct automobiles backing up in the early morning fog on U.S. 192 to proceed to the parking lot about 7 a.m, MOMENTS later the parade of guests was on. Disney World goodwill ambassadress Debby Dane calmly waited to select the "first family." Her decision was a snap.

Windsor bears such a strong resemblance to golfer Jack Nicklaus, press representatives were momentarily startled. Windsor's wife, Marty, followed with another son, Lee.

The Windsors drove to the area Thursday afternoon and spent the night in the family Volkswagen behind a gas station. However, authorities feared the biggest crunch in automobiles would come later. "Frankly," said Al Davis of the Department of Transportation, "I anticipate more of a problem Saturday and Sunday." DAVIS, WHO flew over Walt Disney World at 10:30 to keep an eye out for any possible tieups, commented, "I don't find any adverse problems from the air." He added, "I have checked all roads in the area and I didn't see any holdup at any point." Sgt. Jim Humphries, highway patrol safety information officer, said the biggest problem may occur around rush hour today. "DISNEY WORLD officials have told us the average day for their visitors will be six hours. This means those going in between 10 a.m.
