(UPI) —•Roland Vance earned himself $500 from the county .jail cell with a pencil. Vance, 35, filled out a crossword puzzle in local newspaper and won the prize. Held as a parole violator Vance had been sent to Moundsville Penitentiary four years ago on a breaking' and entering conviction. If his luck is as good with the parole board, Vance said, he hoped to use his prize money to start a new life by returning to a former job in Chicago.
