She was born February 8, 1910 in Amherst, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Lambert and Anna Marie (Hjetberg) Larson.

Survivors include a daughter, Lois (Edwin) Seifert, Neenah; two grandchildren: Pam and Robert Green, Neenah; David Seifert, Menasha; a great-granddaughter, Man-dy Green; a nephew, Dan (Marilyn) Sindahl, Menasha. Preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester G. Shekletske on January '24, 1982; a sister and a brother. Funeral services will be Wednesday August 24, 1994 2 p.m. at the Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah, with Rev.

She was born February 5, 1923 in Neenah, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Amy Viola Peterson Clark. She graduated from Neenah High School and also graduated from beautician college. She was employed at various beautician salons in Oshkosh and Menasha. Gladys made her home in Neenah and was employed with Winnebago Corporation in Menasha for many years. For the past 12 years, she has resided in Winneconne.

Gladys is survived by a brother and sister-in-law: Willis and Marie Clark, Neenah; two nephews: Gene and Cathy Clark, Neenah, and Dennis Clark, Larsen; a niece: Julie and Keith Warning, Neenah. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Mae. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 4 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Pastor Gordon Cavers officiating. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester.

Dennis Ryan and Rev; William Rickert officiating. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Ceme-i. tery. Friends may call at the' Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel from 3 until 9 p.m; Tuesday and until 10:30 Wednesday morning at which time the cortege will leave for the church.

A prayer, service will be held at 7:30 Tuesday evening. A memorial fund has been established. Lawrence M. Speel Appleton Age 79, died Friday, August 19. He was born December 2, 1914 in the Town of Buchanan to the late Fred and Susan (Monyett) Speel.

On October 5, 1940, he married Leona De-Groot in Appleton. The Mass of the Resurrection will be Tuesday, August 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 1617 W. Pine Appleton, with Father Thomas Far-rell officiating.

Friends may call at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, 537 N. Superior on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and directly at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the Mass. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Monday at 7 p.m.

Bernice Sturtz 977 Higgins Neenah Age 80, died Sunday, August at Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. Arrangements are pen- ding at the Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah. i Polzin; six great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Leila (Melvin) Prahl, Green Bay; a niece Melva Prahl; three nephews: Lanny, Larry and Lexcy Prahl. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek with the Rev.

Arden Wood officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. Schmude Berlin Age 74, died peacefully at his home on Saturday afternoon, August 20, 1994.

Orville was born on August 16, 1920 in Poygan, Wisconsin, the son of Albert and Meta Schroeder Schmude. He married Evelyn M. Ellis on November 14, 1942 in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on November 3, 1988. In 1948 Orville along with his wife founded the Schmude Electric Corp.

of Berlin, Wisconsin of which he retired from in 1988 and still remained active with the family in his firm. Orville had a special love for hunting and fishing and always looked forward to his week of deer camp at his Northwoods Berlin Embassy on the Newood River near Merrill and Tomahawk, Wisconsin, also loving bear and turkey hunting. He loved his family and friends very he also loved sports of which for some time he managed the Berlin Reds team. Years ago he was an avid bowler and golfer. He is a member of the Grace English Lutheran Church of Berlin and also the Berlin Boat Club, Charter Member of the Heartland Chapter of the Ducks Unlimited, the Berlin V.F.W., American Legion, and the Eagles Club of Berlin.

He is a former member of the Oddfellows Lodge of Berlin. He is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and the Berlin Conservation Club. Years ago he was a member of the Blue Ridge Ramblers Band of which he played guitar and multiple instruments and also played with the Harvey Voeltner Band of Berlin. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a chief torpedomans mate electrical aboard submarines.

He is a graduate of the Omro High School. He is survived by a daugher, Diane (Gregory) Rodencal, Berlin; two sons: Ronald (Jeanie) Schmude, Oshkosh and Alan (Kelly) Schmude, Neshkoro, Wisconsin. Also survived by two brothers: Norman (Thelma) Schmude, Berlin and William "Bill" (Marge) Schmude, Oshkosh. Also, four grandchildren: Jessica, Amy, Carrie and Jordan Schmude. Also survived by a sister-in-law, Shirley (Gerald) Spur-geon, Salem, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Evelyn, and two brothers: Harold and Russell. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 1994 at 11 a.m. from the Grace English Lutheran Church of Berlin on the corner of Oak Street and Memorial Drive across from the Berlin Memorial Hospital. Relatives and friends may call at the Wiecki Funeral Home of Downtown Berlin on Tuesday, August 23, 1994 from 4 until 9 p.m. and also at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m.

Dorothea "Dora" Koplien Weyauwega Age 93, fell asleep in Jesus Sunday August 21, 1994 at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. She was born April 26, 1901 in Dale, daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Rusch Zaudke. On October 19, 1919 she married Edmund Koplien at Em-maus Lutheran Church in Town of Lind.

He preceded her in death in 1969. Dora lived in the Weyauwega area most of her life. She was a member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and had been a resident of the Weyauwega Health Care Center for the past seven years. She is survived by seven daughters and sons-in-law: Laver-na (Atwood) Leiskau, East Troy; Bernice (Jerry) Kent, New London; Dolores (Verl) Becker, Manitowoc; Doris (William) Crist, Weyauwega; Joanne (Forrest) Gettendorf, Weyauwega; VerLee (Gary) Weiss, Fremont; Eunice (Richard) Billing-ton, Weyauwega; a son and daughter-in-law: Eugene (Wynn) Koplien, Weyauwega; 40 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Evelyn Jonely, Weyauwega; Belva Bu-choltz, Fremont; a son-in-law, George Kent, Fremont; daughter-in-law: Marjorie Commare, Mesa, Arizona.

She was further preceded in death by a son, Elwin in 1981; daughter, Sarah Kent in 1990; three sisters, a brother, two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday August 24, 1994 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Weyauwega with Rev. Paul Huth officiating.

Burial will be in the Lind Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline-Han-son-Dahlke Funeral Home, Weyauwega from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday after 9 a.m. at the church until the time of service. Margaret Hietpas Pennings (Margaret Verhagen) N1635 County Trunk CC, Kaukauna Age 95, died at 2 p.m.

Saturday, August 20, 1994. She was born April 13, 1899 to the late Gerrit Verhagen and Dora Romenesko. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. Survivors include three daughters: Patricia Ta-tro, Appleton; Betty Vander Sand-en, Little Chute; Margaret Hietpas, Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law, Yvonne Hietpas, Little Chute; five sons: Arthur and Irene Hietpas, Appleton; Paul and Ethel Hietpas, Coleman; Owen and Irene Hietpas, Leesburg, Florida; Mark Hietpas and special friend, Betty Van Schindel, Kaukauna; Dennis Hietpas, Kaukauna; a son-in-law, William Mattern, Menasha; 50 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by step-daughters: Helen Dutkrevic, Combined Locks; Beatrice Watry, Little Chute; Evelyn and Julius Schmidt, Sherwood; Lila and Norbert Del-row, Kaukauna; Adele and Jerry Stein, Little Chute; step-sons: Clarence Pennings, Combined Locks; Alvin Pennings, Combined Locks; 17 step-grandchildren and 22 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William P. Hietpas in 1955; her second husband, William Pennings in 1970; two daughters: Bernice Larson in 1985; Shirley Mattern in 1988; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth Hietpas in 1991; a son, William in 1988; three sons-in-law: Ted Larson in 1968; Henry Tatro in 1980; and Casey Vander Sanden in 1993; grandchildren: Randy Hietpas, Kay Ellen Hietpas, Doug Mattern; four brothers: Henry, Michael, Louis and John Verhagen; four sisters: Ann, Hattie, Catherine and Mary. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from St.

John Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4:30 to 9 p.m.

Plate 56 North Second Street, Hilbert Age 63, died Saturday, August 20, 1994 at his home. He was born January 5, 1931 in the Town of Ran-toul, the son of the late Oscar and Marie (Maile) Plate. He attended St. Peters Lutheran School in Hilbert. He was married on October 24, 1959 at Zion Ev.

Lutheran Church in Louis Corners to Mar Jean Voland. After marriage, the couple had resided in Kiel until moving to Hilbert in 1964 where Mr. Plate had resided until the time of his death. Virgil had worked at the Brillion Iron Works for 39 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St.

Peter's Lutheran church, Hilbert and a member of St. Peter's Mens Club and choir. He had served as the financial secretary for the church, and also had been Sexton for St. Peter's Cemetery and had worked as a janitor for St. Peter's School.

He had also served as a volunteer fireman for the Hilbert Fire Department for several years and had been a member of the Board of Directors of th Brillion Area Credit Union. Virgil enjoyed his family, his grandchildren and helping others. Survivors include his wife Mar Jean; two daughters and a son-in-law: Mrs. Todd (Shari) Hechel, New Hol-stein; Lori Plate, Merrill; two grandchildren: David and Kelly Heckel; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Mrs. Robert (Elaine) Kramer, Kiel; Mrs.

Ted (Alice) Stenklyft, Hilbert; Mrs. Duane (Rachel) Fietz-er, Appleton; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Merlin Plate; Ervin and Mary Plate, all of Hilbert; brother-in-law, Earl Pagel, Hilbert. Plumb W2839 State Road 54 and 55, -Seymour Age 77, passed away at her home August 20, 1994. She was born August 13, 1917 in the Town of Lebannon, Waupaca County, the daughter of the late Henry and Ester Tank. She was united in marriage to Bernard Plumb June 4, 1938 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New London, he preceded her in death in 1979. She attended New London High School and Outagamie County Normal School and had taught school at Golden Hill School in the Town of Maple Creek. While residing in New London, she was a member of the Music Boosters Club and several dartball clubs.

She and her husband had moved to Seymour in 1958 where they owned and published the ADD-vertizer and the Seymour Sew and Sweep Shop. She had been residing in Seymour with her daughter, Darla arid her grandchildren, LeAnne and David Plumb. Marie was born December 2, 1914 in Sherwood, the daughter of William and Margaret (Kloeppel) Schmidt. Marie had been a babysitter at Lakeroad Lanes for 21 years. She enjoyed baking for her family and her grandkids. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a member of the St.

Ann's Society. She is survived by three daughters: Margaret Koller, Menasha; Jean Koller, Neenah; and Joan Koller, Menasha; two sons: Donald (Barbara) Koller, Neenah; George (Linda) Koller, Menasha; a brother, George (Lau-raine) Schmidt, Kaukauna; sisters-in-law: Mrs. John (Leona) Schmidt, Menasha; Mrs. Michael (Dorothy) Schmidt Appleton; Mr. and Mrs.
