This play la peopled with quilnf, loTSble characters pocullar to the "rural, districts of the middle went, drawn true to nature and surrounded with the familiar home seeaea that irresistibly carry tbethougbti of auditors back to the happy days of childhood.

It has boon said or this pretty production that no man or woman caii. See It without being made better forf'it A One company and Immense amouni'Of'ibeaatifnl'bpeclal scenery Is annoilnccd and Manager Stouder Is confident that patrons will unanimously endorse the favorable verdict of every other city flatted. "Lovers' Lane." "I overa" the new Clyde Fitch lay, will be presented under William A. Urady's direction at the Masonic Temple to morrow afternoon and evening. It is unlike any of tne previous Clyde Kltch plays.

It depicts with satirical touch the oddities of social and church life In a small New Hngland town. Among thoao who Interpret the humor and senti ment of "Lovers' Lano" aro a young village clergyman, sincere and earnest, bnt unconventional in his Incthotis: the general store keeper, the shrewish BchoOl mistress, the gossiping members ot the church choir, a precious child from the orphan asy lum; a local opera house manager, who posts bis own bills and leads his own orchestra, and a couplo ot aged pensioners Upon the parson's bounty, who dwell under his roof and decide to marry that he may have the use of another room. There are very beau tiful scenic effects, notably a village street scene, showing the schoolhouse at recess time, with jiome thirty children singing songs and playing childish games, and two views of an apple orchard, one of them reveals the golden, browns and greens of autumn, and in the other every branch ladon with blossoms bursting Into fragrant bloom. Mr. Brady presents "Lovers' Lane" with a splendid cast, and most careful attention to stage and electrical effects.

The new Clyde Fltah play, "Lovers' Lane," so enormously successful for five months In New York and all summer In Chicago, will be produced by William A. Brady at the Maionle Ttmple Saturday matinee and nlgru. It Is radically different from all the other Clyde Fitch plays Its personages are plain folk In simple homespun, such as go to make up an average small community. The central figures are a liberal minded young cler gyman, graduated rrom Amnerst, and the girl whom he loves. Around them are grouped many eccentric village types.

In the small town where people are brought Into closer compan ionship the Bros of intrigue and op posing factions blase even more fiercely than In the crowded city. Mr, Fitch has developed, from those rustic, Boclal and church conditions a story that depicts the serious sentiments as well as the brightly humor ous side of life. In strength of cast and beauty and realism of stage effects "Lovers' Lane" takes rank with "Way Down East," and the many other notable productions that have made Mr. Brady's name synonymous with all that Is daring, liberal, artistic and enterprlalng. STARTLING, BUT TRUE.
