Gill, Attending the meeting for a "make-up" was Mrs. District Four Secretary, who was guest speaker at Harry Armer, member of Cocoa Pilot Club. By MARGARET KENNEDY SOUTH BREVARD "The Pilot Club is a Prestige club," said Mary K. Gill, "well-known, for the name Pilot means 'leader and Each member is a leader in her chosen profession or business, so each club is a guide in its community." Owner of an Ormond Beach Drug firm, Mrs. Gill is District 4 secretary of Pilot International and was guest speaker at the meeting of South Brevard Pilot Club.

"With its purpose clearly outlined," she said, "the Pilot Club holds firmly to its charted course, understanding that no ship can call at every port, anymore than it can have smooth sailing every day of every year." SHE REFERRED to the Pilot emblem, the wheel, commenting that it has been an important motive power in industry and commerce and a vital factor in human progress. Miss Rosalie Norris, program chairman, introduced the speaker. Mrs. James McKee, president, conducted the business portion of the meeting followed by disbursement of committees into separate groups who held brief workshops. Special guests Included Cecile Beltram of Bogata, Colombia; Mrs.

Kary Armer, Mrs. Doris Garreston, Mrs. Pearl Solvick and Mrs. Mildred Drew, all members of the Cocoa Pilot Club and Mrs. Kath-erine Conklin, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs.

Ed Trader, Melbourne; and Mrs. Hattle Pugh of Daytona Beach Pilot Club, Cocoan 'Drugged, $300 Cash Taken' COCOA Dewey Sasser, 1401 Clearlake Road, told the Cocoa Police Department on Sunday that a woman had stolen $300 from him after giving him a "Mickey Finn." Models for the occasion were Carol Keefer, Phyllis Carter and Ginny Miller.

Guests in the audience were selected at random to model different wigs and wiglets. Participants included Mrs. Joan Chochon, Mrs. Pat Clark and Mrs. Gretchen Marr.

RAYMOND, AIDED by Mrs. Baldasare, demonstrated how a wiglet can be blended with the natural hair to create elaborate styles or to camouflage thinning hair. Raymond then pointed out that with properly constructed wig, which contains thick hair, ail styles can be obtained. A brief business session was conducted by Mrs. Betty Snyder, chairman of the Douglas Wives Club, following the presentation.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read by secretary, Mrs. Gretchen Marr. are given according to the number of points accurred over a specified time. Each year an outstanding senior student is awarded a $200 scholarship to be used in his or her college studies relating to a career in medicine. Para-Medirs Clubs throughout Florida and Brevard County are sponsored by medical auxiliary members.

There are eight clubs in Brevard with approximately 350 members participating. Merritt Island High School, the newest in the county, is in the process of being organized since this is the school's first year of operation. TITUSVILLE The conference room of the Indian River Bowling Lanes was the scene of an interesting presentation to the Douglas Wives and guests Wednesday evening by Raymond Baldasare, owner of Raymond's Beauty Lounge located in the Indian River Plaza Shopping Center. At the door, guests were given name tags in the form of miniature wigs which was the theme for the event. A BRIEF summary of the background and history of the wig Industry dating back to the early B.C.S. was given by Raymond.

This was followed by instruction of construction of the wig with sketches to illustrate the points outlined. Following the narration, models wearing wigs were viewed. All colors and styles were represented; blonde, brunette, red hair, short and long. Auxiliary president, Mrs. Robert Jamieson, and Mrs.

Allen Kuesterof of Cocoa also attended the meeting. Mrs. Kuesterof, sponsor of the Cocoa High Para-Medics Club for 11 years, shared highlights of her experiences in working with high school youths. An extra currlcular activity Para-Medics Clubs are organized in high schools throughout the State of Florida. Regular meetings are held with various guest speakers chosen from qualified individuals generally in the field of medicine, or an educator who Is familar with education requirements, training and duties regarding the medical field.

Co-ed members are students who display a genuine interest in learning about a medical career either as a physician, nurse, dentist, veterinarian, pharmacist, laboratory technician or any of the many other allied careers of medicine. Actual experience by working In a hospital to "test their mettle" and to get a taste of being associated with members of the medical profession provides a means of earning points for hours spent in a hospital as well as for field trips, projects and meetings attended. Various awards By MARGARET KENNEDY INDIALANTIC Mrs. John T. Blackburn, county chairman for Para-Medics Club sponsors, called a meeting of the new sponsors at her Indialantic home on Tuesday morning.

The sponsors, all members of the Woman's Auxiliary to the Brevard County Medical Society, were oriented duties and responsibilities. Attending the meeting were Mrs. Louis Jensen and Mrs. Lee Rogers, both of Rockledge who are sponsors at Cocoa High School; Dr. Laurette Bryan, Rockledge, Monroe High School, Merritt Island; Mrs.

George Mix and Mrs. Richard Camberg, Indialantic, Satellite High School; Mrs. Frank Fain and Mrs. Kendall Beckman, both of Indialantic, Eau Gallie High; Mrs. Richard Maxwell and Mrs.

Kenneth Pierce, both of Melbourne High; Mrs. Blackburn and Mrs. Michael Foley, both of Indialantic, Central Catholic High and Mrs. William Heimer, Mrs. William Hyden and Mrs.

Leonard Wells, all of Cocoa Beach and sponsors at Cocoa Beach High School.
